Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub
is once again a good product from the Himalya group.
First let us be clear on one thing. A scrub is not supposed to be a gentle one. It has to be granular in texture and not a silky soft smooth paste. I keep reading a lot of complains as to how it scrubs off, feels to harsh etc etc. Well we are using a scrub not a foaming face wash.
As for the product, well it really did not harm me. It is a good scrubbing agent and helps remove the dead skins. Be careful if having acne.
After using it one needs to follow a proper moisturising regime as the dead skins have been removed, pores opened.
Packaging is good once again. However this time too found an inch of the tube empty. This is something Himalaya has to look into seriously or come up with an answer for the reason behind leaving the tube not fully packed.
It is definitely travel friendly. And a must carry when on the go as our skin is exposed to more pollutants.
Pricing is good for the Indian consumers.
Easily available and gets sold out fast. Hence fresh stock always.
Recommend it to others - Yes I will. At the same time keep the above mentioned points in mind.
Rating - I will give it a 4 star out of 5. Like any other facial scrub it has been same rather a little better than others. However only few of the do it yourself grandma's home remedies work for me 100 percent.
Do check it out. Am sure it will help you out :)

I am over walnut scrubs, they were a big deal in the 90's, but in this era of microbeads, I fail to see the purpose of walnut scrubs. It does a good job of exfoliating, but you have to be so careful using this product as it does open up your pores and make you prone to break out with acne. Walnut scrubs can be a little harsh and I would recommend it that you use it once a fortnight if not once a month. The product does come in a creamy consistency which nourishes the skin while you are scrubbing your face and neck.
I like Himalya Herbals gentle exfoliating walnut scrub and it is priced decently too. I found boro plus's scrub and some luxury brands scrubs that were better that's why I moved onto them. But this product is no doubt better too. It removes dead skin and removes little white heads. It leaves the skin a bit dry but in a good way.
Skin Suitability: oily and combinational skin
Not for: Dry skin people
Lasts: depends on use, I used to use it once a week and it lasted me a year (I purchased 200gm one)
Smells: Alright. Nothing chemical-ish
Worth the money: Yes
Should you buy or not: As an beginner, definitely start with this
scrubs are great for skin , but the right scrub is what we need to find out. Walnut scrub isnt for my skin. The scrub has a good smell , lotion like base, which is very important for a scrub, lotion base would make the scrub gentle and scrubbing part becomes easy. But i guess, Walnut did not suit me well. it makes my skin a little dry and stretchy, i have breakouts each time i use it. But the good part is it suits oily skin as the big granules help in scrub away excess oils.
Coming to the package , Its a tube with flip open cap, travel friendly.

So a new Himalaya store began near my house and I went for a trial run, and that's when the thought of buying a scrub ( my first ) crossed my mind. This was the one I chose, no particular reason. And I tried it out . It was great. Maybe because I've never used a scrub before. It gave a clean and fresh feeling to my skin. I could immediately find a clear difference in the texture of my facial skin. Then I started pairing it with my favourite skin remedy , chickpea flour and curd applied for 20 mins, then using this scrub. Trust me, the results are fantastic. The walnut shreds are neither too small, nor too coarse, works perfectly well without hurting the skin. The price is very decent and the quantity is really good ( Himalaya is unmatched in that sense ) . Once I finish trying out many other scrubs, I might return to this ????
This herbal scrub by himalya is a holy grail product. It comes in convenient packaging like all of the himalya products. The fragrance is pleasent and the scrub does its job fairly. If you are looking for a budget buy blackhead clearing and something that gives instant results go for this scrub. It might even become your new favorite

I used this long time back. Scrub is really harsh and if you like fine granules in your scrub then it might not be liked by you. Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub gently exfoliates dead skin cells to remove impurities that routine cleansing cannot tackle. It contains Crab Apple, a soothing antiseptic and keratolytic agent to help loosen dead skin fragments, Walnut shell granules to scrub away dirt, blackheads and dead cells and Wheatgerm Oil, a rich source of natural Vitamin E. These natural ingredients cleanse, nourish and moisturize your skin to make it soft, fresh and radiant. It does what it claims. I wish the granules were a little softer.

I had purchased this scrub as i really wanted to try it after being impressed by its face masks . The texture of this scrub it very gritty and the scrub particles in this are quite big and coarse so it is very easy to over exfoliate with this and cause damage to your skin . The base is creamy though but not very moisturising so much so that i usually feel dry and bruised after using this scrub , so i have started to use this instead as a body scrub and also as a lip scrub as it effectively removes dry patches on the lips. There are many good face scrubs in the market which are quite effective than this i feel.
Where did you buy it from and at what price?
Does it come in a tube or a jar?
Is it a granule scrub or a chemical one?
Does it have a fragnance, describe it
How does your skin feel post using it?
How often do you use it?
