HOW TO USE PRODUCT-
Use all over your face, to conceal flaws and for touch ups on the go.
The foundation comes in a swivel stick format. The shade name and number is mentioned at the bottom of the stick. The cap is transparent with the name of the product. There was plastic protective shield when new. Over all I feel this stick foundations are easy to use and carry. But they are not hygienic if you apply directly, so wiping off the tip with a wet tissue would be a good thing to keep the product clean in the long run.
TEXTURE AND PIGMENTATION-
The texture of the foundation is light considering it is in stick format. I was expecting it to be thick and heavy; on the contrary it feels lightweight on the skin and if blended well, I tend to forget I have something on my face. I lightly moisturize my skin with a gel-cream before applying the foundation which makes the application smoother and easier.
The blending is seamless and there is little effort in the process. Concealer application is optional as the coverage is medium to buildable. Going over the blemishes twice would give a natural finish to the look; though for stubborn marks and absolutely flawless skin, concealer would be required. I really like the fact that there is no funny smell to it which is pretty common.
The staying power is awesome; it stayed on my face till I removed it in 6-7 hours without oxidizing a bit; with minimal touch up with a compact focusing on the oily areas. One more aspect worth mentioning would be, it works pretty well with finger tips, and so if you are yet to invest on a foundation brush, you can delay it a bit further. For dry skin beauties a little bit of extra moisturisation is required, so that it doesn’t look flat and dry on the skin. Sadly only 4 shades are available, so it might be slightly difficult to find the right match.
• Handy packaging
• Easy to use
• Nice texture
• Non drying
• No break out
• SPF is added benefit
• Medium to buildable coverage
• No funny smell
• Not for flash photography
• Expensive for a drugstore product
• Color selection is limited
Repurchase – I might not repurchase as this would take a very long time to finish up.
Recommend – Definitely yes, if you find the color match.

I bought this product mostly for concealing purpose than for Foundation purpose as I assured by the counter lady that the product doubles as both. I prefer this product as a foundation more than a concealer because I feel this product really creases and separates under my eye, even if I bake with loose powder. As a foundation, it has light to medium coverage. I am in the shade 140 nude, which is slightly light for my skin as I intend it for brightening and concealing purpose than for foundation purpose. It is a very creamy product with a velvet finish. It is a stick foundation in a plastic casing. You need to use a primer and setting powder with this product. You also need to prep your skin before application as it does cling to dry flakes and dry spots. A sponge sheers the product so you do get more coverage by using your finger in a tapping motion rather than a rubbing motion. It is a difficult product to rub into your skin unlike liquid foundations.

Packaging: The packaging is compact and the lid is secure which is great for your handbag allowing you to touch up your make up throughout the day easily.
Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Fix Makeup is a lightweight stick foundation designed to retouch skin throughout the day. It has light-filtering technology and delivers coverage to problem areas for a flawless finish. The foundation also provides broad spectrum sun protection (SPF20). Available in Vanilla, Shell, Nude, Natural Beige, Medium Beige, Golden Beige, Rich Giner and Carmel.
The product glides on and is matte, though I struggled to blend in using my fingers or sponge. Having blended as best possible I noticed areas where the product would cake / crater / crack after a hours of wear and came away dissatisfied with the result.
Revlon has great base products and this one's definitely a hit.
The foundation comes in a stick thus non messy and travel friendly. The packaging is sturdy enough. So thumbs up!
Since I like to layer it up gradually, it gives me a dewy look. I either blend it it with my hands or a foundation brush.
Tip- Do not put your brush directly onto the product as it might pick up more product and start getting cakey. The trick is to dot it on your face and neck and then blend it.
It remained on my face after hours of photoshoot in heat and direct sunlight.
Will definitely repurchase!
The drugstore world is kinda lacking in foundation sticks and since they are such an easy product to use it’s nice when one is released like Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix which has a nice, easy to wear formula. I used to be a major fan of Benefit Playsticks but my skin has changed considerably and I couldn’t use them much anymore as I started to notice they’d cling to my drier areas! Sadness!
Needless to say foundation sticks are just easy. They are such a no brainer swipe and blend application that needs little work to apply and use. I like lightweight coverage that’s subtle, natural, yet pigmented enough to ease dullness and brighten my skin and that’s exactly the type of coverage Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix offers. These are slightly dry so if you have oily skin you’ll get on well with them. If you’re like me, dry, you’ll want to prep up well prior to application! The formula isn’t terribly pigmented but it has enough color to hide mild redness, some darkness, perhaps light acne, and of course, dullness. I find the texture a bit on the dry side so not really creamy in the least and not as satiny or silky as Maybelline’s Fit Me Stick. The consistency is thicker than the Fit Me Stick and has a more seamless look once applied to skin. It probably makes little sense but once applied the coverage almost looks skin-like in finish. I find it brightens up my skin very nicely, eases dullness, and gives me a focused, refined finish. It’s very subtle, lightweight coverage so don’t expect an industry foundation stick here. If you already have good skin, you’ll find that the Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix will enhance your own natural skin. Coverage wear is around four hours, I haven’t been able to get it to wear longer on my skin.
this product has been my go to favorite product. its suitable for any skin tone and any type of skin. its extremely long lasting and doesn't look shiny. its easy to put on as its a stick type ans super easy to blend. its definitely worth the price!!
