Subject : Two Way Cake Powder
Comment : I bought this powder as it had the extra coverage as it is a foundation powder in pressed compact and it is only when I looked closely at the back of the compact, I realised that it has an SPF of 32 PA+++. I usually avoid powders with SPF on account of flashback. I usually use powders more for setting purpose than for using it as a base. With this powder I feel it does not do a good job of layering over other products especially around my nose and forehead region. It is a very soft powder that does blend well on its own with sheer coverage and beautiful illuminating properties. It comes in a beautiful rose-gold rectangle compact with a sponge, although I would not recommend the sponge if you are using it dry as it deposits the products in one area and does not do a good job of blending it well. On a whim I tried the powder as a foundation by using a wet sponge. It gave a grey white cast to my skin as if i had applied flour to my face. You get 9gms of product for Rs. 650/-. I am in the shade soft almond which is perfect for my skin. It isn't very good at oil controlling especially if you are spending long hours at a function, oil and grease will seep through the product. I noticed alot of oiliness when I checked in on my face after 5 hours of application. I feel Loreal Mat Magic has equally good coverage and illumination with SPF, but it is a better formula when it comes to mattifying and blending, not to mention that is cheaper this powder.

Subject : Lava Love
Comment : I did not want to create a separate page on every shade under the Avon True Color Lipstick collection, so I am writing my review on the Lava Love Shade from the same range. Avon sent me a sample size of the lipstick. It is a neutral Red Lipstick with a Cremesheen finish. Due to its creamy texture it is transferable especially if you are eating and drinking. I would recommend wearing this lipstick with a lip liner for it does have a tendency to bleed a little, especially if you are painting your pout close to the edges. I wore this lipstick for 2 hours without eating or drinking anything and I noticed some fading especially from the centre of the mouth. It is a lipstick that requires constant touch ups. After hours of application so do see it forming that ugly paste like consistency in the corners of the mouth. On the positive side, the lipstick does pack opacity and has a uniform application. It sits very comfortably on the mouth and has a hydrating formula.

Subject : Sheer Coverage and no color options
Comment : I would recommend this product to women with normal to normal/oily combination skin. This product has a sheer coverage that oxidises to a lighter shade in a while, although it does not cover marks and scars. The formulation of the cream is supposed to have a brightening effect which is why it has a dewy finish. I personally prefer a matte look on a daily basis which is why I prefer setting this product with a powder, after which the product does last the entirety of the day on the face. It is moisturising cream with an SPF of 24. I usually prefer products with an SPF of 30 or more. I did not notice any change in my skin tone or my dark spots. I got a tube of 18 gms for Rs. 109/-. I prefer the Avon CC cream as it has a higher SPF content and it helps reduce my dark spots.

Subject : Not meant for Longevity
Comment : I am in the shade Natural Beige which is the second darkest shade in the range. I am underwhelmed by this product, it is a more matte foundation than a illuminating foundation. It does not last too long in hot and humid weather and begins to breakdown within 5-6 hours. It has medium coverage and is a liquid foundation. Natural Beige blends perfectly with my skin tone, but it made my face look so dull. Layering product with this product is not an issue and everything blends like a dream. What this product does do is give you an absolute blank slate to work with. The foundation comes in an acrylic bottle with a purple coloured pump which feels a little cheap. You have to pump 5 to 6 times before the pump delivers any product. The product does contain an SPF of 20 and is lightweight. I used this product with a primer and I set it with a matte powder, but there is just no longevity. Within 3-4 hours I could see my oil seep through and mix with the foundation which made it look as if the foundation was sitting on top of my skin, which is strange as the product did blend into my skin during initial application. I prefer the Giordano Long Wear Foundation because that foundation makes you look more radiant, unlike this one. I used a brush with this product because it is medium coverage and I am a full coverage girl and a sponge would sheer down the coverage.

Subject : Childhood Favorite
Comment : I have been using this product for the past twenty years. I have survived the harsh dry climate of Rajasthan with this product. Every scab has been healed with this product. I remember falling sick with chicken pox and my mother rubbing some tender care on the rash after the calamine had dried off as it prevented scars. It has never turned my lips dark if I have applied it and gone out in the sun. I would take some lipstick and rub some Tender Care and use it as a blush, it always gave me a healthy glow. If I ended up over-exfoliating my skin or had a dry patch, I used Tender Care to heal my skin. I have grown with this product and it lasts a while, therefore, making it worth every penny that you do spend on it.

Subject : Love the Shade Range, Not too fond of the texture
Comment : I bought this product on a whim when I saw it on a friend. The Colors in this range don't have names, but they have numbers. I picked up an Oxblood colour referred to as 2997. It is a lovely flattering shade with a lot of opacity. The lipstick does last a while, provided that you do not eat anything at all while you have it on, otherwise the product will begin to break down. Say you even wear the product and do not touch any food, it gets drier the longer you have it on the lips. The product isn't fully transfer-proof, it does leave a little trace behind, unless you sip your cups of tea with delicate grace. That being said, if you want to completely remove the product then you will need a makeup remover or a cleansing milk at the very least. The product does dry down matte but it takes its time, and after a while, it becomes too matte and despite all precautions of exfoliating and moisturising, it does settle into the lines of your mouth. Considering all the positive reviews I heard for this product, I am almost too sceptical to use any other liquid lipstick.

Subject : Luminous but Natural Looking Skin
Comment : I was to attend a function and I was in a desperate need of a Pressed Powder that did not have a flashback. This product came highly recommended from a friend. I am in the shade Light/Medium. It is a pressed powder, that I use to set my foundation or CC cream. I live in a really humid place and at the end of the day, I have always looked like a hot mess with or without makeup. The product gives you such a healthy sheen like you wouldn't even recognise your skin. This is the best powder I have used till date, be it loose or pressed. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I would post a pic but I have used and abused this product to put one up.

Subject : NA
Comment : I bought this lipstick in the UK, I mostly picked it up since I thought it was a bargain. I especially love the pot of lip product at the bottom of the product. I have the shade 13. It has a glossy finish and is transferable, but it is so creamy on the mouth and not the mention the lovely vanilla scent it carries. I carry the lipstick for a touch-up, for the initial application I use the product at the bottom jar with a brush. I find that I have more control on how the product applies on my mouth.
Eyes
Subject : Bad Brow Day
Comment : This product takes a lot of work. I tried the whole feather strokes but a slight swipe and it deposits a lot of product in one area, spreading that product through the entirety of your brow, it takes a lot of effort even with the spooly at the other end of the pencil. Finally, a youtube blog gave me an idea to use a brush, which is what I eventually ended up using. The product is creamy, and if you try to wipe the sweat off your brow, then it disturbs the product. I was so glad to see the last of this product.

Subject : Review on long wear fiundation
Comment : This foundation looks so gorgeous on the skin, it has medium coverage and has a dewy finish. I prefer to wear this to more formal functions like a wedding or a gala. It has SPF 15 so it has a flashback. It is really light weight and gives you a healthy even toned glow. The shade range has 4 colours, Oriflame is not known for it shade range. I am in Light/Ivory. The formulation blends so well into the skin and a little product goes a long way. I have tried this product only with a damp sponge and not with any brush.
Face
Subject : For Natural Looking Everyday skin
Comment : I would recommend this cream for Normal, Oily and Combination Skin, as it is really light weight. People with dry skin might need to use a moisturiser prior application. It has sheer coverage with an SPF of 35. There are only two shade ranges and Natural blends perfectly into my skin. Since Natural is the darker colour of the two shades, it is unfortunate that people with duskier skin have to make do with Natural. The product is on the steep side for a daily CC cream, but you do get 40ml for Rs. 1000/-. I would say the finish has a little sheen, but I don't need to set with a powder unless it is extremely hot and humid and you are stepping out for a while.
Eyes
Subject : Good Mascara
Comment : When it comes to Mascaras, Maybelline is one brand that I trust blindly. I was not disappointed with this mascara either. It created a good illusion of fuller lashes. Although the mascara does start to flake after a few hours, especially depending on how many coats you had applied earlier on. This mascara is not waterproof and I prefer it that way as removing the eye makeup can harm the sensitive eye skin. It has a thick wand with full feathery bristles, actually, it is a lot of fun applying this mascara without it getting clumpy. This product lasted me months and I managed to finish it before it could dry out. It's a budget buy mascara and it will leave you with no regrets. It has a nice thick formula which gives the appearance of thicker lashes.
Eyes
Subject : Not the best kohl pencil
Comment : This pencil refuses to stay put and or blend to your satisfaction. I like to tight line my eyes, especially before I go in with a liquid liner or mascara and if I tight line only my upper waterline, in less than an hour the product will shift to my lower waterline and smudge. It does not cover fine line on the eyelids and that leads to unflattering gaps. If I try to use it as a base for smokey eyes, it refuses to blend and just gets wiped away. I don't think there are shades in this line apart from black which is alright since the formulation is such a disappointment. It gives you hideous racoon eyes if you apply it to the lower water line or lid. I don't know about the waste of money, but this product is just too hard to work with and its a waste of time.
Lips
Subject : Semi-Matte with Minty after feel
Comment : I have the shade Sultry 225, it is a nude pink that is semi-matte and has sheer coverage. It is a creamy product and if I find myself short of a lip balm, I apply this product as it is hydrating and minty on my mouth. It transfers, therefore it does not last long if you are eating and drinking after putting the product on. I even use this product as a tint as well. The product lasts a long time so it is an investment buy. It is a roll-up product so it saves you the trouble of sharpening the product. It is very reliable.
Face
Subject : Review on mat magique pressed powder
Comment : The powder has light matte finish with little luminosity. The product has an SPF of 34, so I would thoroughly not recommend it for important occasions where a lot of photographs will be taken. Although the products serve well for daily use.
Eyes
Subject : Lovely product but a pokey brush
Comment : The product is a beautifully matte liquid liner, but the brush is too rough for the application. The product lasts for months until it begins to dry at the bottom, rendering the product too thick for the application. The colour of the liner is pitch black and really matte. Once the product it stays on for hours, although if you leave it on too long it does flake.
Nails
Subject : NA
Comment : It does its job decently enough for removing nail paint, although layered paint takes quite a labour to get out. It has that strong chemical smell and I have noticed dryness after use, not to mention the slight burning sensation around the cuticles. It is a cult favorite when it comes to nail paint removers. It is a trusted brand that is easily available everywhere.
Nails
Subject : NA
Comment : Revlon Nailpaints are those classic ones that you saw on your mother's dressing table and it eventually found its way to yours. It is an old formula, it packs a lot of pigment and has a glossy finish and it takes a while to dry. It almost lasts a week, but it has never turned my nails brittle or yellow. The product lasts for a long time in the bottle and will not dry out for ages.
Face
Subject : Reliable Primer
Comment : It is a silicone based primer that brightens the skin and any other product that you layer on top of it. Makeup lasts a while, even with the humidity and the sea breeze. Any product you layer on looks more luxurious. The product lasts well against the humidity but it does not do as well in the chilly harsh desert breeze, the makeup does not last as long.
Lips
Subject : Simple Lipstick in Beautiful Shades
Comment : This is the lipstick to carry in your purse. It comes in such a cute little package, it's really adorable. I have the shade Fabulous Fuchsia, which is a very berry pink colour. It is a Cremesheen lipstick that doesn't last too long if you have been eating and drinking. It is very transferable, but the product can be touched up as easily. It has a wonderful glide to it which rarely even requires you to use a mirror. It does get gooey around the inner corners of the mouth after a while though. Considering the small price it comes for, that is hardly a point to complain of especially when you consider how rich its pigment is.
Face
Subject : Its more Highlighting than Concealing
Comment : I am constantly on a look out for a concealer that does exactly what it says, it conceals. This concealer is more of a highlighting concealer, it does not cover dark spot at all. God forbid if you did put it on the dark spots and tried to blend it, it would just highlight the area. The product has medium coverage, so does not cover very prominent cases of dark circles, you would still need to colour correct those before using this product. You can use it on the bridge of your nose, the centre of your forehead, the tip of your chin, above the cupid's bow and above you jaw-line. This product is creamy so you do need to set it with a powder after.
Eyes
Subject : Stunning lashes
Comment : Use this product along with an eyelash curler and see the volume you get with it. It is a stunning product that lengthens your eyelashes to the high heavens. It is not a waterproof product, which suits me fine because I don't like tugging my eyes to remove the makeup. I usually apply mascara for semi-formal or to the formal events, but with this mascara, I just couldn't stop myself from applying it. I would skip the liner and apply the mascara and go along with bold lips and head out. I have never run through a mascara as quickly as I did with this one. The rule of the thumb with mascaras is that you need to wait for the formula to dry a little after opening a new tube of mascara, but this mascara was ready to do its job from its very first application. It's my favourite mascara till date.
Lips
Subject : Slim Packaging
Comment : This a very hydrating lip balm and it gives you a glossy finish. The product is very glossy so I would not recommend using it sparingly under a lip product. It lasts a long time on your lips and has a very delicate fragrance to it. It is packaged like a lipstick, so it is a roll up lip balm. There is no tint to it, at least none that will show up on Indian lips. I usually carry this product in a clutch as it can be easily slipped into one, unlike the more bulkier tender care that comes in a more rounded jar.

Subject : Foundation and Concealer?
Comment : I bought this product mostly for concealing purpose than for Foundation purpose as I assured by the counter lady that the product doubles as both. I prefer this product as a foundation more than a concealer because I feel this product really creases and separates under my eye, even if I bake with loose powder. As a foundation, it has light to medium coverage. I am in the shade 140 nude, which is slightly light for my skin as I intend it for brightening and concealing purpose than for foundation purpose. It is a very creamy product with a velvet finish. It is a stick foundation in a plastic casing. You need to use a primer and setting powder with this product. You also need to prep your skin before application as it does cling to dry flakes and dry spots. A sponge sheers the product so you do get more coverage by using your finger in a tapping motion rather than a rubbing motion. It is a difficult product to rub into your skin unlike liquid foundations.

Subject : Favorite Brow Product
Comment : Not enough people are speaking of this product. It is a double ended product with the pencil on one end and a pomade on the other. I have the colour, Dark Brown. My brows look so lux after application. My only hiccup is that pencil is too small, but the pomade is wonderful. Come sweat or rain, your brows can face them all with this product. The product is a pencil that isn't too creamy or waxy, so you do not end up harsh brows. Feather strokes to shape and fill in your brows and set it all in place with the pomade. It is absolutely brilliant!
Face
Subject : More of a corrector than Concealer
Comment : I love this product as it is the answer to all my dark spot woes. It is clicking pen type product, where you click at the bottom and the product administers itself into the brush at the top. I bought the shade 02, which has an evident peachy tone. I use this product over my primer and under the foundation to make my flaws look neutral skin colour. It is a creamy product that is so easy to blend. It has medium coverage, so it can battle most dark under eyes and faded scars. You can layer foundation and concealer over this product, provided you take little effort to blend.
Lips
Subject : Simple Lipstick in a fancy Package
Comment : It is a very basic lipstick in a fancy gold package. I bought the shade Rose Petal as I was on a lookout for a nude Pink that I could wear on a daily basis. Since the lipstick is nude Pink, its longevity has never crossed my mind. It is a glossy creme-sheen lipstick with flecks of glitter. It is transferable since it is creamy, so as long as you don't eat or drink, the lipstick will not go anywhere. It is hydrating on the lips due to its creamy texture. The packaging is the best part of this product, it comes in a gold case.
Eyes
Subject : No play time with this product
Comment : It is a gel pencil that is only available in Black. It is one of those liners that stay put after application. It even comes with a sharpener at the bottom for you to roll up the product and sharpen the tip. The hiccup with this product is that you do not get enough play time with this product to blend or smudge for a look. This product does not even flake long after application. The application of the product is a problem is that it does not cover the fine lines on the top eyelid, therefore leaving gaps in between. If you do make a mess, it can be an unforgiving product.
Eyes
Subject : For those clueless with Shadows
Comment : It is a double ended pencil, they have different shades of the same colour. I have a pencil in purple. The pencil does smudge but the pencil is meant for smudging purpose. It doesn't last very long, few hours until it disappears into the oblivion. You have a good amount of control on the application of colour, but light blending does the work because if you smudge it too much it will wipe off.
Eyes
Subject : Runny black
Comment : It is a liquid black liner with a brush. The product is very runny so it takes time to dry down to matte. Since the product is runny it does not give a uniform line, so you have to go back and forth with it. It is not a smudge consistency since it is a liquid eye liner. The product does not last too long and it does flake. The packaging involves cheap plastic bits, my eyeliner holder keeps detaching from the brush. Once you do get the line uniformly applied, it does dry down to a beautiful matte black.
Eyes
Subject : Smudgy
Comment : It is a waxy type product that initially comes to a point, that eventually loses its shape after a few swipes. It comes in various shades, I have only used the black one. It does not last very long before it starts to smudge, especially on the water line. Getting a thin line on the above eyelid is difficult because of the consistency.
Lips
Subject : Classic Lipstick
Comment : It is my go to everyday lipstick. It is balmy and has a hint of glitter. I have a rosy shade that works as a nude pink. It does last a few hours, but it does create a paste like consistency in the inner lips that you need to rid of with a tissue. It is a classic creme sheen lipstick. It does transfer, but not a lot. It's a classic Revlon packaging.
Lips
Subject : Glossy Lipstick and vanilla Fragrance
Comment : I bought the shade Sweet Pea which is a bubblegum pink shade. It lasts a while, but it does transfer due to which reduces its longevity. It is a glossy lipstick but lots of balm. It has a lovely vanilla fragrance and a wonderful glide on the lips which ensures smooth application.

Subject : Review on Giordani foundation
Comment : Oriflame has different products for different age groups, the Giordani Collection is a Woman's Collection. It caters to women are in the prime of their life and do not want to waste precious time of budget products that do not function to their expectations. This foundation is a rejuvenating one, it makes the skin look fabulous while it repairs the skin. It is a creamy foundation that comes in a Jar. It blends into the skin beautifully and has a beautiful sheen to it. It has medium coverage and doesn't budge once it has set into your skin, unless you live in a humid weather or if the skin is oily.

Subject : Review on Avon True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick- Red Supreme
Comment : I get so many compliments when ever I wear this lipstick. It's creamy on the mouth but it has a matte finish, it doesn't dry your mouth or form a paste like texture in the inner corners of your mouth. I have the colour Red Supreme. You do have to work at getting an even-tone on your lips, but once it's on it stays put. It barely transfers despite eating oily food.
Face
Subject : Avon True Color CC Cream
Comment : I have been using this product religiously for the past three years and my skin tone has turned two shades lighter, my skin is more even toned and my dark spots have reduced. I step into the sun and not worry about getting tanned. The coverage is light but buildable. I even wear this product for semi-formal occasions or day occasions. I am in the shade nude. This product also blends well, but I need to set this product especially if the weather is hot and humid. On the rare occasion that the weather is good, I do go without powdering my face and my face looks luminous for hours until my face gets greasy. I stock up on this product whenever I can.
Face
Subject : Review on Earthern shade
Comment : My favourite part of this product is the packaging and the brush. It comes with a large compact mirror and a really soft brush. I have the shade Earthen Rose, which I bought specifically for contouring/bronzing my skin. Avon Brochures have the basic flaw not matching the exact colour of the product. I thought the product would be more brown judging by the colour shown in the brochure. The colour turned out to be really warm brown with a pinkish undertone. Nonetheless, I still use the product as a bronzer if not as a contour. The product is really pigmented so it needs to be tapped before application and there is fall out in case you swirl into the product. I usually tap lightly into the product with a separate blush brush, tap off the excess and gently press the product at the exact points of the application on my face, blending it all in. I even use this product as a transition colour, in case I wish for a warmer tone in my eyelid crease.
Eyes
Subject : Review on True Color Eyeliner
Comment : This is a pen eyeliner that only comes in black colour. You get 1ml of product with this pen. This pen claims to have 0.2 mm tip which can help create the perfect cat eye. I bought this pen to try it, but I am not familiar with felt pen liners and I am even less familiar with creating a cat eye with one. I cannot stand by this statement, although doing a cat eye with my preferred liquid liner is mostly a miss for me. I like to create really thin lines with this pen, just for some definition in case I fancy a nude eye look with a bold lip.
Nails
Subject : Review on Avon Base Coat
Comment : I like to paint my nails, provided that I am able to maintain them without cracks, dryness or yellowing. I believe that a good base coat can prevent from any ailment like brittleness or yellowness. This product, however, is not a good base coat and it protects your nails from nothing at all. It is wasted step on your nails and it is also a waste of time and money. You might as well paint your nails bare.

Subject : Review on Avon True Color Hydrating Lipstick
Comment : I bought this product as soon as it was launched without seeing any reviews of this product, I have regretted it since. Avon brochures do not give the correct colour description of this product. I thought the colour would be a baby pink colour, but on receipt of the product, the colour turned out to be ultra pink. I still tried to make this colour work as it was hydrating, has opacity and an even glide to it. It has a chemical melon like smell which also I could ignore, but what I could not ignore was the bitter taste it left in your mouth. It is not a pleasant feeling.
Lips
Subject : Review on Ripe Papaya shade
Comment : I have this lipstick in Ripe Papaya, which is a unique Pink shade, which I have usually seen worn by fair skinned maidens. I do enjoy this shade as it is somewhere between a nude and a bold shade, so I can carry a lot of looks with this shade. My excitement for this product was short lived when the tip detached itself from the rest of the product. It is a very glossy lipstick, so unless you refrigerate this lipstick, it has a tendency to melt.

Subject : Review on Avon Simply Pretty Mascara
Comment : This mascara is highly underwhelming when it comes to performing on the lashes. It is clumpy and does not do much, at least any more than an ordinary mascara.
Eyes
Subject : Review on Avon Simply Pretty Liquid Eyeliner
Comment : I have the eyeliner in the colour Black, it is a beautiful matte black liner. It is not runny an d the brush is quite precise. It lasts for ages on the eyes and in the bottle. It does begin to form a thicker consistency once the product begins to dry after a certain period of time.
Nails
Subject : Review on Frosty Blue shade
Comment : I have the shade Frosty Blue, it is a very thick formula that takes ages to dry, rendering one too useless to do anything. It does not last long on the nails either. It also makes my nails very brittle and yellow. I would not recommend these nail paints on any account.
Nails
Subject : Review on Oriflame Metallic Nail Polish
Comment : I have the shades Aqua Green, Pink Pearl and Sweet Candy. Aqua Green is a bit too conspicuous, but the metallic shine in the nail paints can be seen for miles.
Face
Subject : Mattifying Powder
Comment : This powder is mattifying and looks so natural on the skin. I have used this powder for baking as well and gives a beautiful brightness to where it has been applied. It absorbs sweat and oil and gets you matte for quite a while. The only cons with this product are the same as the ones you will find with other loose powders. It is bulkier to carry in a handbag, and inconvenient for a quick touch up. There is also the tendency of wastage as the powder gets everywhere, so the container needs to be opened with utmost caution. Do not open the siever or the powder will be everywhere.

Subject : Review on The One Instant Nail Polish Remover
Comment : This is a good nail paint remover that does not go over the nails too harshly. The name does suggest instant nail paint remover but I notice that I have to labour the same to get the nail paint off my nails. It does seem like a healthier option for the nails though, so I do prefer this nail paint remover
Eyes
Subject : Nice Non-Clumpy Mascara
Comment : The Mascara is a budget buy mascara that lengthens your lashes without clumping them. It does not give you va-voom lashes, but it does a decent job enough. It is more lengthening than volumising. Obviously, you see better results if you use the product after using an eye lash curler. The applicator is a thick one with full bristles. The product is a really light formula that does not hinder you from blinking. Fair warning, after few hours it does flake and it is not at all waterproof. At the slightest contact with water, it will give you raccoon eyes.
Eyes
Subject : Waste of money
Comment : This mascara does nothing, it does not volumize, lengthen and you have not take a very close look in the mirror to see any curling effect. It is not a waterproof mascara because once I washed my face it was sufficient to remove every bit of the mascara without much of an effort. It is a strange mascara that is too wet on initial application, but it dries down too quickly as well. It has a curled wand with short bristles, but I fail to see how the brush helps uplift the lashes. I am far more impresses with the results of any Maybelline Mascara than this Mascara.
Face
Subject : Hype
Comment : I found this product very underwhelming. The cover says that it has vitamin e and hyaluronic acid, although if you go through the ingredients, talc is the very first ingredient that pops at you. The product is soft and it does blend well, but it has a visible sheen which causes slight flashback. It does make your face matte, but it settles into your flaws like scars, making it more evident. I got the shade natural ivory which is light for me but rose beige suggested a pink undertone and warm honey looked a shade too dark. The shade range is an issue with this product, luckily for me, the coverage is sheer so the lighter shade was not evident. The packaging is cheap plastic, where the pan in between has stiff hinges and it creaks when you try to lift it up or down. I would recommend this compact for day use, maybe even night provided that it does not involve any flash photography.
Face
Subject : Chalky Powder
Comment : It is a pressed powder that has sheer coverage and if you try to layer the powder, it does cake up. It keeps the face matte. I am in the shade light. It is a budget buy, but it does not do anything extra for the skin. It is powdery and chalky. It does not illuminate the skin and reduce the appearance of flaws. The compact is packaged with the mirror being detachable, rendering it as inconvenient on the go. It does not have any flashback, but it does not blend into the skin well and makes the appearance of the powder on the face very evident.
Face
Subject : Sheer to Medium Foundation
Comment : It is sheer to a medium coverage foundation that is oil based with a dewy finish. It comes in a plastic squeezy bottle, so you can squeeze the product out. It does not last very long on the face especially if the weather is warm and humid and you have oily skin. You need primer and setting powder.
Nails
Subject : Review on Pure Color Nail Polish Mini
Comment : These are by far my favourite nail paints, they have a variety of shade from bold to nudes. The colours last a while on the nails. They are healthy as they do not turn your nails yellow or brittle. I have the shades Trendy Nude and Midnight Blue, both colours are opposites of each other and yet they both are very flattering. They apply easy, they dry quickly and they stay for a while on the nails.
Eyes
Subject : Smudgeproof, Fadeproof and Waterrproof
Comment : It is a liquid eyeliner. It isn't not a matte black eyeliner, it is more dark grey than black and has specks of shimmer in it. It has thick sponge tip which makes a thin precise line nearly impossible to do. It does not have uniform application, I don't know if that is a fault of the formula or the tip. It dries quick.
Eyes
Subject : Long Wearing, Non-Fading Kajal and Smudger
Comment : This product is more of a Kohl pencil than a Kajal. This product is more powdery than creamy in texture, which is why it last longer than a regular kajal. I can do my waterlines with this pencil as it does not transfer everywhere. It has plenty of play time for you to blend and smudge the product. I mainly apply this product on my upper eyelid and it last there for a while without budging or fading. I would not recommend this product for doing an intense smoky eye, because the product does begin to fade a little if you smudge it a bit. The smudger does pull at your skin, so you need to be careful that you do not hurt your eyelid by being too harsh with the smudging as the skin around the eyes is sensitive.
Lips
Subject : Sheer but buildable lipstick
Comment : I have the shade Red Copper which is basically a dark orange shade that borders on red, but is not red. It is a cremesheen lipstick, which is lustrous, creamy and hydrating. Due its creamy hydrating formula, it isn't transfer proof. Although the formula feels so comfortable on your mouth. This product would not last very long if you were to eat and drink . The lipstick comes in an Indigo Blue package that looks bulky, but is very light weight. There is a curve on the lipstick which cups your lips and gives you a perfect application and the formula has a slippery glide to it. The product does not disperse a lot of pigment on its first glide, so the product is quite sheer, but it is buildable as the product does not move around a lot once applied to your mouth.
Eyes
Subject : No Spooly
Comment : I have strange eye brows that are not full and are very unruly. I need to a spool to keep them looking groomed. I had to invest in a separate spool to use this product, which is fine by me, unless I need to travel because there is an extra item I need to carry in my makeup pouch instead of one product that does it all. This product has a hard wax tip that is not very pigmented, so it is very inconvenient as it requires a while to fill up and shape your eyebrows. The smudger is useless as it makes a mess of my brows, I constantly need to clean around the edges as the smudger disperses the product everywhere.

Subject : Intense version of the Classic Tender Care
Comment : As the name of the product would suggest, it is a tender care that comes in organic honey flavour. It comes in the classic tender care jar which is further packed in a box, except that the box and jar come in a light mustard yellow shade. This product is a more intense version of the classic Tender Care. God forbid if the classic Tender Care does not solve your dry skin or dry patch ailments, then this product will definitely meet the criteria for solving your woes. It does have a honey scent to it which smells absolutely delicious. Like the classic Tender Care, you can use this product as a balm for your lips, cracked skin, dry elbows and knees or any other dry skin ailments that trouble you. This product retails for Rs. 300/- but it last a long time on you and in the jar. I personally stack up on Tender Cares of every form and called it an investment.
Lips
Subject : Very Sheer Lipsticks
Comment : I have three shades Scandalous Vice, Beloved and Chic. I got a bad batch of Chic a baby pink shade which has chunks of foiled sparkles in it and the you get rough sparkles on your mouth than the lip colour, when you swipe it on your mouth. Scandalous Vice and Beloved are very sheer lipsticks that barely buildup to a visible colour. Scandalous Vice is a saffron like orange that looks nude on me due to my yellow undertone skin. Beloved is a baby pink shade that shows up even less on my mouth than Scandalous Vice. Chic is a just a very crummy formulation which I will be getting ride of. The non glitter shades are balmy, so I might use it as a balm rather than as a lipstick. The packaging is the funniest as it does not describe the product, it just has a tag that says Lipstick, the shade and batch no. I am literally getting rid of a shade, so I definitely won't be repurchasing it.

Subject : Review on Very Me Candy Gloss Nail Polish
Comment : It is a gel nail polish which has very sheer coats. This product does take a while to dry and requires multiple coats. If you try to put one coat over another without letting the previous coat dry then it does take ages to dry completely. Although once you do have the product on, it does give a beautiful glossy finish to your nails. I have the color Juicy Pink and it looks absolutely stunning in the bottle and on the nails.
Eyes
Subject : Does smudge
Comment : I bought the basic black colour for everyday use, it lasts a few hours on my eyes, depending on the weather and if my skin is not oily. I used to powder the area where I applied the kajal to avoid smudging and budging and it would work for a few hours. It is a proper kajal stick, so it does have the tendency to smudge. It is quiet easy to wash and remove this product especially before sleeping, which is what I liked the most with this product. It does smudge on the lower waterline, but it stays put on the above lash line. I liked the fact that despite this product being a little smudgy, it did not transfer anywhere and everywhere.
Face
Subject : Little goes a long way.
Comment : I would recommend this product for normal to oily skin as the product dries down to absolute matte. It has medium coverage, which can be sheered down or built up. This product lasts for 5 to 6 hours. It does colour correct your skin. You only need to set this product with a powder if you are stepping out in a hot weather. The price is quiet up there, but it is worth a one-time splurge, especially in the marriage season, where there will functions during the day. I prefer the SPF to be a little more stronger, but 30 should suffice. It is thick product, so I would recommend spearing it on the face and then blending with a sponge.

Subject : Review on Color Dose Nail Lacquer
Comment : I have the shades 16 Naked and 19 Miss Purple. The claims for this product is that it is skin friendly lacquer from France. You get 6ml of product in a bottle and the specific instruction is to shake prior to application. The shades at least I have are very pretty and flattering. It takes two coats for complete opacity and it is quick drying. It dries semi-glossy.
Lips
Subject : Tint not a gloss
Comment : I picked this product as I was on a lookout for a red tint. The sales lady heard my query and directly pointed to this product and told me not to go by the name and that it is a tint. I bought the product in the shade pomegranate. It is a balmy tint which transfers so it does not stay more than a few hours. What I like about this product is that has a slip to it and so it can be applied without a mirror. Since it is so balmy you can even skip the moisturising the lips before application of colour step. This product is good for everyday wear and it lasts a long time in the package. It comes in a chubby stick which is super cute.
Eyes
Subject : Smudges, Budges and Smears
Comment : This product is your standard Kajal that smudges and smears like every kajal out there in the market. It comes in only one shade of black. It begins to smudge within an hour of application and the worse part is that it exaggerates the appearance of dark circles. I have oily skin so I tried mattifying under my eyes with some loose powder, but that did not prevent the smudging. This product is a waste of time and money. I would recommend a gel pencil or even kohl one as they have a better formulation for staying put and lasting longer on the eyes.
Nails
Subject : Heaven sent especially for travelling
Comment : I have the nail paint remover in chocolate scent, which leaves that wonderful chocolate scent in the room instead of the annoying chemical scent that most nail removers have. The product is acetone free which is gentle on the skin and the cuticles. This gets rid of the nail paint within seconds. I love this product for travelling, so if I am travelling for more than a week then I can use this product to remove my old nail paint and wear a fresh coat if required. The product comes in a plastic jar that contains a sponge with a slit, the sponge is saturated with the nail polish remover and you only need to dip your nails, one by one, for cleaning the nail paint off the nails.
Eyes
Subject : No Play time
Comment : This is kohl pencil means business when it says that it lasts long and is smudge-proof. This pencil comes in a wooden pencil packaging with a sharp tip that blunts down with use until you sharpen it again. I got the color black for daily use and not once do I recall this product smudging. I have oily skin which smudges the most unsmudgable kohls but this product is absolutely budge proof. It lasts on your eyes through heat, sweat and rain. It stays on your eyes all day long, so much so that you do need a eye makeup remover to remove this product for even washing your face won't budge this product. My only hiccup with this product is that it has no play time and it can be unforgiving if you were to make a mistake.
Face
Subject : Standard Compact
Comment : I used to keep this compact for mattfying my face while I was on the go rather than for any coverage. I come from a very humid city so I would be on a lookout for product that made my face less shiny and kept it relatively dry. This product did keep my face matte but building on this product always made my face look cakey. It does not last long on the face and the coverage is light to medium so I would use this product on its own. The packaging was the most depressing part of this product, it did not any space for the sponge applicator to dry any moisture it had absorbed. At some point I even noticed breakouts occurring on my skin because of this product.
Nails
Subject : Review on Oriflame Nail Polish
Comment : I have the shade Nail Night Orchid which is a beautiful fuschia shade. This nail paint packs a lot of opacity and it dries down quickly. The brush is slightly too broad for my liking, otherwise, I quite like the nail paint.
Lips
Subject : Matte yet Comfortable
Comment : The product may claim to be lip colour but it is a lipstick for all purposes. Shade: I have tried the shade Rosy Sunday which is a cross between a pink and a red, which is a universal shade that might suit a lot of skin tones. Finish: It has a matte finish which is not drying and yet feels comfortable on the lips. Transferability: This lipstick is transferable. Price: The price is up there for Rs. 450/-. Although I do not know too many lipsticks that have a matte finish and is comfortable on the lips. Packaging: It comes in a rose gold acrylic roll up casing.
Lips
Subject : Clear gloss with little tint
Comment : The gloss is more or less clear with barely any tint to it. It serves as lip topper for some shine. It is a hydrating formula which nourishes the lips. The formula is also very sticky so it attracts dust and grime to the mouth. I got the shade fab which is a red-tinted gloss. Although as mentioned by me earlier, there is absolutely no opacity to these products and they are more or less a clear gloss. They are transferable as it is a sticky yet hydrating formula. I have absolutely no use for such glosses as I prefer some opacity and tint in my lip products so I would not be repurchasing this product.
Eyes
Subject : Fills in Sparse Brows and Shapes
Comment : This pencil is by far the best pencil I have used for my brows. This pencil is really slim, so you do you need to take your time filing in your brows, but shaping your brows with this pencil is ultra quick. It is a dual ended product with a roll-up pencil on one end and a spooly on the other. I got the shade expresso which is the darkest brown shade and it suits my brows without making them look extra bold. The product is a stiff wax finish which does not budge or disappear during the course of the day. The best part is that you do not have to struggle with this product. You get natural looking brows with this product and instant compliments. You get 0.08g of product for Rs. 625/-.
Face
Subject : Orange Pigment
Comment : This product comes in a squeezy tube with bristles. I have the shade Orange which I got to reduce the appearance of dark circles and dark spots. The coverage of this product is medium, but it is really pigmented. You cannot go over this product with sheer coverage or medium coverage because the orange pigment will seep through, you need to go over the product with a full coverage product or try to build coverage just to cover the orangeness of the product. It reduced the appearance of dark spots, but you have to be careful to not deposit all the product in one place. In case you do deposit the product in one place then use a brush or your fingertips to distribute it equally in all the places you need correcting. It dries quickly so do you need to work as you are applying the product.
Face
Subject : Illuminating but without Flashback
Comment : Type: It is a compact powder with Illuminating properties which does not have a flashback. There is SPF 15 in the pressed powder which isn't mentioned on the website/catalogue description or the box of the compact, but directly on the compact case at the bottom. Shade: I got the Medium Shade, but it is still a little light for my skin. Nevertheless, the product blends beautifully into your skin so you face does not look caked. Coverage: It has light coverage which is buildable but it does not come up to medium coverage. I use this powder mostly to set my CC cream, concealer or Foundation as I do have oily skin and the city I live in is humid. This is a good product to mattify your skin with a touch of illumination. Packaging: The packaging comes in a blue-purple square compact with a mirror and a really nice sponge. You get 8g of product in the compact. Price: The product retails for Rs. 749/-. I personally like this product as it mattifies and brightens the skin at the same time. It blends seamlessly and sets my makeup. It is a small compact for regular use, but I usually carry this compact for travelling as it is convenient. Dupe: I have not come across a compact cheaper than this that does what it does for my skin.
Lips
Subject : Very Balmy Gloss
Comment : This gloss I bought as a lipstick topper rather than an use alone product, as I have dark lips and this product barely has an opacity. It is a clear and sticky gloss which has a slight tint to it. It is a very balmy one which prevent your lips or the lip product on your lips from drying. It has a mirror shine look to it and it does not settle in fine lines of the lips. Colour: I bought the colour Soft Coral which has a Pink Coral tint to it. You can use this product alone on your no-makeup days if you wish for your lips to look healthy with a slight flush to it. I would not recommend this product alone for a formal evening as it is a very clear gloss. Transferable: It is a balmy gloss which makes it transferable. Despite that this product last a while on the lips and you feel it hydrating your lips and making them feel plump. This product does move around especially if you have been overtly generous in the application of the product. Packaging: It comes in a small squeeze tube which is quite adorable. Price: It comes for Rs. 349/-. Dupe: You can dupe this product with any tinted lip balm of your choice.
Face
Subject : Review on Colorbar Face Mist
Comment : The mister is not the best so it leaves droplets on the skin if you mist it too close to the face. I would suggest misting your face from some 8-10 inches gap from the mist. It really helps leaving your makeup on for a long time. It doesn't stop your face from getting oily, as it isn't a mattifying mist. It does smell like alcohol so be wary if you are sensitive to scent.
Face
Subject : Silicone based primer
Comment : It is a silicone based primer that makes your skin feel very smooth. I was not impressed by this product, it does not improve texture, prevent creasing, prevent grease or withstand heat and humidity. It does help the makeup last and does prevent it from running, but by no means, it helps your makeup look better. It is an oil-free primer, but it does not mattify the face or prevent the skin from getting oily. It does not reduce the appearance of pores, your scars look no less visible and texture will show up. I saw no difference in the way my makeup applied either. I found it to be quiet underwhelming.
Eyes
Subject : Stays put even in the waterline
Comment : This product is a double ended kajal, with the pencil on one end and the smudger on the other. Fair warning is that the smudger application is slightly rough to use the eyes! Package: It comes in a wax-like casing which can be sharpened when the tip becomes blunt. The black pencil comes in a black casing. Shade: I got the kajal in the colour black Time: From the time I apply the kajal till I remove it, it last on the eyes. Smudge: Even after washing the face the kajal does not smudge. You need an eye makeup remover for this product. There is little play time for smudging the product before it completely sets on your eyes. Type: It is a creamy pencil kajal. Application: I mostly use this pencil on the water line because it does not bleed into the under eyes and exaggerate the appearance of dark circles. Price: The pencil retails for Rs. 650/- which is worth how effective this kajal is.
Lips
Subject : A very balmy and fruity lipstick
Comment : Shade: I got the shade Pink Kiss which is a Bubblegum Pink shade. Finish: It is a very glossy lipstick which is balmy and hydrating. It does not dry out the lips or flake on the mouth. Transferability: This lipstick is very glossy which makes it transferable. Longevity: The lipstick lasts a while on the mouth provided that one does not eat or drink. Packaging: It comes in a Hot Pink Plastic case with Lip Addict printed all over the cover in silver. It is a very sheer lipstick which has more gloss than pigment. I personally prefer lipsticks with more opacity and less gloss. There is a fruity scent to the lipstick.
Face
Subject : Medium Coverage
Comment : I got the shade Nude Pink which turned out to be slightly light for my skin tone. The formulation is blendable so you can use it lighten the appearance of dark spots or hide less conspicuous spots. For a concealer with medium coverage, it looks slightly cakey, especially under the eyes. After an hour and a half, it starts to settle into fine lines and exaggerates the appearance of creases. The product comes in a squeezy tube with a nozzle. I would recommend taking out the concealer on a palette first or on the back of the hand before applying to the face as the tube will deposit excess product at one place instead of evenly distributing it.
Lips
Subject : Rich Pigment
Comment : This is roll-up lip liner. I line and fill my lips with the shade Vibrant Pink and apply Oriflame Pure Colour Intense Lipstick in the shade Fabulous Fuschia on top with either a brush or the tip of my fingers. Similarly, the lip liner is pigmented and creamy enough to be applied to the entire mouth. The result is stunning and it gives a beautiful semi-matte look. It is so stunning that it reminds you of an ultra-lux lipstick like MAC or Estee Lauder. Shade: I got the shade Vibrant pink, which is a richly pigmented and is almost fuschia in shade. You cannot use this product with a light tone lipstick because the fuschia shade will seep through. Texture: It is a creamy lip liner, but it isn't creamy enough to hydrate the mouth, so prior application of lip balm is recommended Price: It retails for Rs. 299/- which I think is pretty economical for a cream lipliner. Longevity: This lipliner is budge proof, once it is applied to the mouth, it will not move.
Eyes
Subject : Lacked uniform pigmentation
Comment : This is felt tip pen liquid liner. I bought the shade black. The product dried down matte after application but it was not of smudge consistency as it was a liquid liner. The liner lasted 5 to 6 hours before it began to flake and peel off. I did not enjoy this product as the ink at the tip of the liner was not sufficient to do a winged look or just a thin liner. I felt it even dried out too soon.
Face
Subject : Sits on the skin
Comment : Type: I would not recommend this product for oily or combination skin as it makes the skin more greasy, normal and dry skin people can try their luck if they want Coverage: It is a sheer coverage product. Longevity: The second you step into the sun, this product starts to melt off your face. It does not matter if you have set the product or not. Benefits: I did not notice any change or improvement on my skin despite it being a Beauty Balm Finish: It has a dewy finish which can be matted with a powder. On an overall I did not like this product, it made my face look cakey and it refuses to absorb into the skin. It just sits on the skin and it easily wipes away the second it comes into contact with any surface.
Eyes
Subject : Same as the regular Kajal
Comment : I bought the shade black, which is the only shade it comes in. Maybe when you swatch the product it feels satiny or even during initial application, but it is no different from the regular kajal of Lakme. It smudges with an hour of application and exaggerates the appearance of the dark circles. For a product that smudges easily, it takes forever to wipe it clean from the eyes. The packaging is the regular chubby kajal stick with some gold design engrave. It is not worth any extra amount that you do dish on this product, you might as well buy the regular kajal by Lakme
Eyes
Subject : Standard Kajal
Comment : This product only comes in one shade which is black. Within an hour this product starts to smudge whether you apply it in the waterline or on the lower lash line. This product does not disappear, it just bleeds into your skin, thereby exaggerating the appearance of dark circles. I have tried setting my eyes to avoid smudging and bleeding, but it still seeps into the skin. This is a budget buy product so miracles cannot be expected out of it, it retails for Rs. 70/-. It is a very waxy kajal that comes within a chubby stick that needs to be sharpened once the tip is completely submerged into the casing.
Eyes
Subject : Intense Black Pigmentation
Comment : This is a stiff pencil, but it comes in only one shade which is an intense black shade. You do not get a spool or brush with this product which is an added disadvantage. I would recommend this product only for people who have really sparse eyebrows and who wish for really dramatic brows. I need to use this product with feather strokes on the eyebrows. Basically using this product is a lot of work. Moreover, despite being a stiff product, it does not last very long on the brows. I have oily skin and I especially tend to get oily around my brow/forehead region which makes this product move and smudge onto my skin, making the appearance of my brows very untidy.
Eyes
Subject : Good Product for quick and easy brows
Comment : I have this product in the shade Espresso Brown which I feel is perfect for my brows because they fill and shape my brows without making them too loud and dramatic. The pencil is a thick angular pencil which is stiff and does not dispense the pigment everywhere. The product also comes with a thick spooly which is convenient for brushing the brow hair and for evenly dispensing the pigment onto the sparse areas. I like this product as it isn't too creamy that it smudges and ruins the appearance of the brows and it last on the brows for hours. It is easy to apply and easy to remove with soap and water and it is an overall a very convenient product that makes my life much easier.
Fragrance
Subject : Silk Roll On
Comment : You get 50 ml product for Rs. 195/-. It is a fresh floral scent which lingers throughout the day. It is a gentle product which does not irritate the delicate underarm skin. It says white glow but I have not noticed any whitening effect.
Eyes
Subject : Waste of Time, Money and Effort
Comment : It is supposed to be a lengthening mascara but it literally does nothing. It is not a waterproof wand and it does begin to flake after a few hours. After a while, I just stopped using this mascara and it just neglected in my vanity case until I threw it away. I didn't even bother to check it had dried out or not. This mascara is not worth the money or the effort. I would try layering it but it just bunched up my lashes, I tried using it with a curler but I felt the curler on its own did more than this mascara. I feel Maybelline is a brand that you can blindly trust when it comes to mascaras and it comes at a fraction of the price of this mascara.
Face
Subject : Beautiful Matte Blush
Comment : I got the blush in the shade Macaroon which is a beautiful peach-coral shade. It is a matte pressed powder blusher with no shimmer. It lasted on my face the whole day despite me having an oily skin. The formula of the blusher is just right as it is neither too pigmented to give you a clown face and nor is it too stiff that it takes ages for you too built up the color on the cheek. It comes in a round acrylic container. There is some payoff to the blusher, depending on if you are going into the blush with a heavy hand. The blush retails for Rs. 795/-.

Subject : Glossy Kajal
Comment : This is a traditionalKajal comes only in black shade and like most kajals, it smudges within an hour of application. It is a slippery kajal so utmost care needs to be taken while applying it to the water lines. You get 1gm of product for Rs. 45 and 2.6gms for Rs. 135. I got the 1gm product as I was testing it out. Notwithstanding how budget friendly this product is, I would not purchase it again. This product has natural products like Damask rose, Triphala, castor oil, almond oil and camphor. As it includes two different oils, it has a glossy sheen to it and glides without tugging. Then again due to its glossy texture, it just refuses to stay put and exaggerates lines on the lids and dark circles under the eyes.

Subject : Convenient but not decent for waterproof makeup
Comment : I love makeup wipes especially if I am travelling or if I have had a long day. I bought the wipes at a Colorbar Outlet and picked the wipes for Rs. 200/-. I would recommend this product more for regular makeup than more waterproof makeup. I tried to remove my mascara with these wipes and it removed some product and lashes but it did not get rid of my mascara completely. I love the bright pink packaging it comes it although it is a bulky product and I wish they would come out with a more travel size friendly package. There is a scent to the wipes so that just suggest some perfume is added to the product, but the cotton sheets are absolutely soft on the skin.
Eyes
Subject : Waterproof and Lenghtening
Comment : This mascara is truly waterproof mascara, which means if you do not have an eye makeup remover that is meant for waterproof mascara, you will be stuck with the mascara on your lashes for days. It is supposed to be a volume boosting mascara, but I felt it was more lengthening although it does give you thick clumpy lashes. It has a thin wand where there the bristles on one end are longer than the other side. I feel the bristles have way too much gap between them, which is why you end up with spidery lashes. I feel the regular mascaras of Oriflame do a far better job than this mascara unless you are specifically looking out for waterproof mascara.
Eyes
Subject : Removes waterproof mascara with a lot of difficulty
Comment : I am not overly familiar with eye makeup removers, but this product comes in a bottle that has a blue solution at the bottom and a clear liquid on top. The instructions only tell you to shake well before use, so when you do shake the bottle, the true liquids blend together to form one formula. It is not a harsh product to apply to the eyes, but it removes waterproof mascara from the eyes with some difficulty. The good thing about the product is that it does not bald out your lashes while it is removing the makeup. I went through the list of ingredients and the product seems to be glycerin based. You get 100ml of product for Rs. 399/-.
Face
Subject : Medium Coverage with a Lingering Scent
Comment : This is a very confusing product where the skin type is concerned because when I initially applied it was slightly difficult to blend but I noticed greasiness in my t-zone within an hours and I had to set those areas with some powder. I tried a moisturiser the next time before applying the CC cream and although it was easier to blend the product on the face, I still had to set my entire face with a powder. I would say the product has medium coverage, but I would not recommend building up the product because it then begins to cake in certain areas. I would recommend using a powder to set the product for longevity, especially if you oily skin and live in a humid city. The product has an SPF of 30 which is borderline for the Indian Sun, but it does not have moisturising properties. It does do a good job of evening out the skin after blending the product properly, but it not lighten pigmentation and marks. The product has a satin finish and I am in the colour Beige which is slightly too warm yellow for my skin tone, but once I set it with powder it becomes less apparent. You get 30 gms of product for Rs. 299/-. I prefer the Garnier BB cream to this product although it has sheet coverage. I still adore my Avon and Oriflame CC cream although it is slightly more on the pricier side.

Subject : Worst Eyeliner Ever
Comment : This is a liquid liner that comes felt tip brush for application. The eyeliner only comes in black and it is a beautiful matte pitch black shade but the formulation is terrible. It smudges at the slightest contact, so if you have an itchy eye and you rub your eyes with this liner on then you will end up with racoon eyes. It lasts on the eye for long, provided that you do not touch your eye. Also the formula is anything but waterproof so it will start running down your face at the first contact with water. The brush is also another issue as it is a very hard and unforgiving rectangular felt tip. Perfecting a winged liner or a cat liner with this tip would require some serious amount of patience and talent to do eye makeup. I would not recommend this eyeliner under any circumstances. I much prefer Avon's Simply pretty liquid liner.

Subject : Waterproof mascara that does not pull off your natural lashes
Comment : This mascara is meant for volume, length and lift. The mascara did give me length but not the volume that I have enjoyed in the past with various other Maybelline Mascaras. This mascara is truly waterproof and it takes a pretty decent amount of time and energy to be rid of every last bit of mascara. What I do like the most about this mascara is that despite being waterproof it does not shed out my natural lashes at the time of cleaning. Another thing that I do enjoy about this mascara is that the formula is not too wet when the mascara is brand new. You have beautiful non-clumpy lashes from the moment you first apply the mascara. Although the formula is a bit tacky and it is difficult to get on the lower lashes. It has a round wand with a slight bend in the centre to imitate the natural shape of the eye. The bristles are medium length and are fine in texture. The Mascara retails for Rs. 525/- for 7.5ml of product, although I bought mine at a discount at nykaa.com. I do not know any dupes for this mascara where waterproof mascaras are concerned, but I enjoy the volume of Maybelline's Hypercurl and Colossal Volume Mascara.

Subject : Rebranded as THE ONE PEACH PERFECTOR
Comment : This is the only product from the Very Me Line that has survived and been rebranded as a part of THE ONE collection. This is a tinted moisturiser with sheer coverage and hydrating properties. It basically looks like your skin but with a little more glow and illumination. It is a gel-cream based product that does a wonderful job of moisturising the skin without making it too greasy. It comes in a sqeezey tube that is black in colour with a peach coloured cap. It retails for Rs. 499/- for 30ml of product. I use it as a base to my skin because of the glow it gives to my skin. I need coverage for my skin due to spots and texture which is why I do not use this product on its own. If someone is really comfortable in their skin and prefer a tinted moisturiser then this their go to product. I use my finger tips to blend this product as blending is not an issue. I have combination skin and this product sat very comfortably on my skin. The Oriflame Catalogue states that this product contains Vitamin C to protect the skin from free radicals. I do not know how much that is true but I love the peach fragrance of this product.

Subject : Affordable Setting Powder
Comment : This is a pressed powder that comes with a clear plastic cover. I am in the shade Silky Beige and you get 14gms of product for Rs. 250/-. This is a very good powder, notwithstanding the price, I have used and tried more pricier powders that have turned out to be nothing short of disappointing. There is no coverage in this powder so I would recommend it for setting purpose. The only hiccup with this product is that it does not come with a mirror or a puff. I personally prefer a brush to a puff so that is not an issue with me. This product does not do miracles on its own, if you want your makeup to last then you will need to use a primer as this powder will not makeup for the lack of a primer, but it will do a good job of setting your makeup. It does not feel dry or caked and it sits very comfortably on the skin. I prefer it to the L'oreal Mat Magique Powder.

Subject : NA
Comment : I have this lipstick in the shade Coral Burst. This lipstick lasts on the mouth as the transferability to this product is very minimal. You will need a cleanser or oil to remove this lipstick, although the fair warning is that it does stain your mouth. Also I have dark lips so the lipstick seems a little darker on my lips than it does in the tube. It has a satin finish which does crumble around the insides of your lips. This lipstick packs medium opacity which is buildable to full coverage. There is a divot in the lipstick that cups your lips when you apply the lipstick. The lipstick comes in an attractive chubby pink lipstick case which is so unique in comparison to other lipsticks that come in a boring black case. It may look bulky but it is quiet light weight. The lipstick retails for Rs. 539/- for 4gms of product.

Subject : Semi-Matte/Satin Finish
Comment : I won a Contest on Oriflame's Instagram Page and they sent me this Lip Crayon in the shade Fuchsia Fantasy. The lipstick transfers and is bound to fade if you are eating or drinking. The lipstick packs a lot of opacity but it also stains the mouth when the lipstick is removed. It is not a very hydrating formula but it sit comfortably on the mouth. I love the packaging of the crayon, it is very quirky and cool. It is a roll-up crayon so you don't have to sharpen it. The crayon retails for Rs. 589/- for 2.8gms. You can get this product at either the Oriflame India Website or any other online retail store. I usually go through a consultant in order to purchase products from Oriflame.
Eyes
Subject : Miniscule Palette
Comment : I won a Contest on Oriflame India's Instagram Page and I won the Smoky Palette. The Eye Shadow Palette is tiny and is no bigger than a compact. The packaging is a plastic case with six eye shadow powder pans that are barely large enough to fit a regular size brush to pick up the pigment. There is no mirror in the compact, instead there are three eye drawings suggesting different ways the colors can be used together. The smoky palette has two shimmery bone colors , a shimmery pink, satin purple, satin blue, shimmery light gray, shimmery dark gray and a satin black. I tried the suggestions made in the diagram, but the results were a little too disco and it would mainly flatter Caucasian women. There is a decent amount of pay off to the shades, but there is slight fall out too. I use a primer or concealer before using the eye shadow. These shadows have served me during long events and I have not seen any creasing out as such. It retails for Rs. 839/- for 4.64 gms of product. One thing I have noticed with these shadows is that it blends too well and they all blend into each other which makes the eye look very untidy.

Subject : Wonderfule Base
Comment : I have the pencils in the Shade Burnt Olive and Deep Plum and I love using them to create a smoky look. I use them all over my lid and then use the Avon True Color in Luminous Blush in Earthen Rose as a transition shade in my crease to soften the edges and hassel free smoky eye look is guaranteed. These pencils do not apply well in the lower waterline so I just use it to smoke the lower lash line. Once the color is set then it does not budge and I would recommend an oil based eye makeup remover to be completely rid of this product from the eyes. It is roll up pencil that comes in a black acrylic case. The consistency of this product can be smudges especially to get a desired look but it does not bleed or transfer. These pencils last me during wedding seasons and I prefer these to eyeshadows as they are fool-proof. The pencils retail for Rs. 299/- for 0.28gms of product.

Subject : Gel formulation that doesn't dry out the lipss
Comment : I was gifted this lip color so I had to do some research prior to usage. My knowledge in lipcolor is not vast but this is a far more forgiving lipcolor than most. I have the shade Addiction which is a dark berry/plum shade which I happen to carry off luckily. The scent is a little off since it smells like a chemical fruit with an underlying cheap vanilla scent but the scent doesn't bother me post application. The formulation is gel based which does not suck the life out of the lips and does not grab at any dry patches. It does not flake or cake on the mouth. It packs on a lot of opacity although it does transfer but it will survive a big meal and you can touch it up without it caking. The issue apart from the scent is that the gel formulation makes it a little sticky so you will have to dab a tissue to ensure that it dries matte. The lip color is not completely matte and it is more velvety matte. The lipstick does last a while on the mouth without any touch up but it may fade as the day goes since it is transferrable. Although like I said before that it is a forgiving lip color and you can touch it up as and when you like. It retails for Rs. 1195/- for 5.9ml. It comes in a chubby oval acrylic bottle with a metal cap. The dofer applicator is flat like a paddle so it is easily to apply on the curves of the lips.

Subject : Removes waterproof mascara
Comment : I love this product for two reasons, it's travel friendly and that it takes out the waterproof mascara out of my lashes without ripping them out. It's a must when you are travelling for a wedding or an important occasion where you would be layering makeup on. The product comes in a blue plastic bottle with a spray nozzle which doesn't have a decent spritz. I like the spritz this product on my face and massage it till the makeup starts to come apart. I then use a face wash or a makeup wipe to remove the makeup as well as the oil and grime completely. The product retails for Rs. 300 for 60ml. It is easily available everywhere and online you can avail it on excellent discounts.
Face
Subject : No setting powder required
Comment : I have tried the shade natural buff and it looked a little light on my skin due to the pink undertone. It dries down matte within minutes and it can applied even with finger tips since it blends seamlessly. It has a medium coverage which can built. I use a moisturiser prior to application. I have used this product without a primer or setting powder and after 6 hours of application I noticed some oil seeping through. The foundation comes in a glass bottle and the hiccup is the packaging because it does not come with a pump or a dofer applicator. You need to pour out the foundation. It is easy to layer products on this foundation without making it budge or move. The product retails for Rs. 575/- for 30ml.

Comment : I ran out to buy this compact at the nearest Supermarket as I had very stupidly left behind my Rimmel Stay Matte Compact at Grandmother's place which is on the other side of the country. The compact comes in 4 shades and I am in the shade Shell which is for medium skin. I usually use a powder or compact for keeping my face drier during the hot and humid summer months. The product does have an spf of 28 which is slightly insufficient for the Indian Sun. I use this product with a brush instead of a sponge as I feel I have more control with the product. The coverage is sheer but it does have some illuminosity to it so there is a natural glow to your skin. What I like about this product is that despite my tendency to sweat on my face I can see the droplets forming on top of the powder and not fixing with the powder and creating a hot mess. The same could be said for the oils of my skin. Some powders mix with sweat and oil and start to sit on top of the skin instead of blending into the skin. The powder also has a floral talcum scent to it which smells pretty but I am not sure if parfum is a good additive to makeup. I love the fact the compact is easily available on retail and you don't have to place order for it or go to a mall or a makeup store to purchase it. The compact package is a cute little white round plastic case that comes with a mirror and sponge. It retails for Rs. 175/- for 8gms.
Nails
Subject : Convenient but not a miracle worker
Comment : I love products that have more one use because it prevents clutter and saves you money. The product is convenient but it is cannot perform miracles incase the nail paint isn't any good. It prevents staining but not drying and it cannot prevent chipping if the nail paint has a tendency to chip. It comes in tall acrylic bottle with a thick wand which may be inconvenient to apply to short stubby nails. The product does dry quickly. It is one of those strongly scented formulas that fill up the room and can be barely be rid of by a room freshner.
Lips
Subject : One of the worst lipcolors ever
Comment : I bought this lipcolor in the shade Satin Rose, it turned out to be a bright pink lipstick instead of a more subtle pink that I usually expect out of a shade that says it is Rose. Giordani Gold Iconic Lipstick has the color Rose Petal which is a perfect nude for me and I love that formulation except for bits of gold glitter in it. Coming to my second issue with the lipstick is the formula, it is a whipped mousse formula which does not try down at all, let alone dry down matte. It is medium coverage which cannot be built upon as it moves so much. It looks paste like on the mouth and it is impossible to blend. I tried to dab off the excess with a tissue which did improve the lipstick but it looked so cheap. It has satin finish at the most. Once you remove the excess product it does try a little and does not transfer as all the excess amount as been removed, but it does wipe away easily. Under no circumstances would I recommend this lipstick. It begins to form a paste like consistency in the corners of the mouth. The packaging looks cute but once you unscrew the dofer applicator, you realise how cheap the packaging is. It comes in a light miniature cylindrical bottle that tapers towards the end. The tube is transparent so you can see the shade of the lipstick. It comes with a silver colored cap. I would much rather recommend the Chambor Liquid Lipstick or the Revlon Ulta Matte HD lipcolor than this this lipcolor.
Eyes
Subject : Putty Like
Comment : I have the shade Golden Yellow which is a very festive color to wear on the eyes. The texture is more putty like than creamy and there isn't a lot of pigmentation. There is no fallout but the glitter does spread everywhere. I would recommend using a transition shade prior to applying the eye color so that the blending does not spread the glitter everywhere. You do have to built this product up to build opacity. I have naturally tinted eyelids so I do prime my eyes with some foundation or concealer and then set it with some powder. The packaging is really cute and it comes in a tiny round jar. I prefer applying the shadow with a brush because I am concerned about the hygiene of using finger tips. The product retails for Rs. 499/- for 4gms of product.
Eyes
Subject : Creamy Formula that glides
Comment : As far as I can tell this kajal comes only in black. It is beautifully pigmented formula that comes in a pencil with the smudger at the other end. It is creamy formula so there is not fall out when you go to smudge the product. What I like best about the kajal is that glides smoothly over glitter eyeshadow without making it budge and move. You can tightline with this pencil as it shows up on the waterline and stays there till you remove it. It is a smudgable formula but it does not bleed. Obviously the only place you can get the pencil is on nykaa.com where it retails for Rs. 475/- for 1.2 gms of product. Although you can get it at a discount if any promotions are available.

Subject : Hate Powder Foundations
Comment : This is the first powder foundation I had ever tried and I absolutely hated it. It has a sheer to medium coverage and is powder based. It has a velvet finish and comes in a plastic case with the powder on one end and the sponge on the other. The sponge does nothing to ensure that the foundation goes on smoothly rather it makes the foundation more patchy. The product is not worth the money and time you spend on it. The powder does not last long on the skin especially if you have oily skin and if you live in a humid city. At the first appearance of sweat the makeup starts to fall apart. Moreover the power just sits on top of the skin and does not absorb into the skin and I had to apply a setting spray to make the powder look more natural. I used my face powder brush to apply the product onto my skin. I even this foundation with a wet sponge and I did not see any difference in the application, it still looked patchy. It retails for Rs. 899/- for 9gms of product.
Eyes
Subject : Finally a good Pen liner
Comment : This is a liquid based liner that comes in a pen form. The eyeliner comes only in the color black. This is a good pen that disperses the liquid right uptil the tip which is convenient for doing a cat eye. The formula does not budge on its own but if you itch or rub your eye then it will get rubbed off. I love the purple-grey look of the pen, I think it looks chic. This is the first decent pen I have found although I have not tried alot of them so I don't know any dupe per se. It retails for Rs. 599/- and it comes with 0.8ml of product.
Face
Subject : Not as mattifying
Comment : This product is a pressed powder that is exclusively marketed as a Matte powder but it does not keep the oils at bay. The Fit me range all over the world came out with a multitude of shades but in India only a limited shade range was released. That being said it is not even an easily available powder in the various shade ranges. Most retail shops keep only 3 shade ranges, a light one, a medium one and a dusky one. I purchased the powder at Shoppers Stop so I am not sure what the available the powder is online. I was dissapointed with the powder and I am begining to suspect that Maybelline does not do powders well. I saw oils seeping through my skin within hours of application. I much prefer the L'oreal Mat Magique and the Rimmel Stay Matte. The product retails for Rs. 499/-.
Face
Subject : Tiny Bottle
Comment : Until I received this spray bottle, it did not strike me how little 30 ml is. It seems like a very economical setting spray as it costs Rs. 850/- , but consider the price point for 30 ml of product. I got a good deal on my setting spray from Smytten app, nevertheless, stillI would say the bottle would probably last you one big fat Indian Wedding, provided you use it sparingly. It did help my makeup stay longer and I used it to tone my face and set the makeup. I live in a hot and humid climate which makes my makeup sit on top my skin instead of looking like my skin. I did have oil seeping through the oily areas of my face but my makeup wasn't running like a hot mess. I had my makeup on for 4 hours and the setting spray did do a good job of making my face look presentable till I came back home and removed the makeup off. The setting spray also did a good job of making my face look balanced and well blended instead of powdery and cakey. It is a matte finish spray but it will not prevent your sebum glands from producing oil. It did not irritate my skin and I did use this product twice. The drier areas of my face did not feel uncomfortable.
Lips
Subject : Matte but not pigmented
Comment : I am not a big fan of lip crayons that need to be sharpened. It is an extra step to applying lipstick that I rather avoid plus it get really messy. I tried the crayon in the pink shade, I decided to experiment and try applying the lipstick without a balm. The lack of moisturisation on the lips do not hinder the application but as it is a matte lip crayon it does dry out the lips. It is not a transfer-proof lipstick and will disappear during the course of the day especially if you have been eating and drinking. It does not stain the lips. I prefer the revlon matte lip crayon which has the best nude pink shade and it comes in a retractable form.
Face
Subject : Conceals but does not crease
Comment : This is the most impressive concealer I have ever tried. I have used the concealer in Sand Beige and this concealer is a liquid concealer that comes in an acrylic vial with a dofer applicator. You only few dots to cover the dark circle depending on severe your dark circles are. I don't have prominent dark circles so I just needed to cover around my orbital bone. The concealer has medium to full coverage, so I don't like using it on every mark and blemish cause it would make my face look cakey. The concealer lasted me the entire day without creasing and crinkling. I have oily lids, so by the end of the day it sitting on top of the skin instead of looking like my skin. I don't concealer too often as I like my skin to breathe, but I do use it on special occassions. Therefore, I would say the vial would last you an entire wedding season and then some. I do set this concealer with the powder on the account of my oily lids.
Face
Subject : Bit of sparkle
Comment : I tried the blush in the shade Coral which is essentially a neutral pink shade. The Blush has the dome shape like a baked blush with bits of glitter in it. I usually go for matte blushes but the glitter of this blush was barely visible on the face. The blush lasts a few hours but disappears during the entirety of the day. The Color Show blush has a lot of pigmentation, I had gone in with a light hand and directly applied to the apples of my cheek, needless to say I had to apply the same amount to my other cheek just to make sure the cheeks matched. I usually prefer a hint of color instead of an evident color on the face. The packaging of the blush comes in a cute little plastic case. There is no mirror or brush with this product.
Face
Subject : No longer available
Comment : Avon has revamped its products and the Colour Ideal range is now discontinued. Instead Avon has come out with a True Color range which has two types of foundations. 1. Cashmere Foundation which comes in a Squeeze Tube like this one 2. Liquid Foundation that comes in a Glass Bottle with a Pump
Lips
Subject : Balmy Lipstick
Comment : I have this lipstick in the shade Always Cranberry and this lipstick even smells like Cranberry. This is not a transfer-proof lipstick and it has a high level of balm in it , so if you are eating or drinking with this lipstick on, you will need to refresh it. On it own it does last a while on the mouth and because it is a very hydrating formula, it feels quiet comfortable. It applies glossy but after a while the lips absorb the balm the lipstick looks quiet cremesheen. I picked the lipstick at a discount but it actually retails for Rs. 629/- for 1.7 grams. It comes packaged in a plastic black case which is pretty cool. The bullet is a narrow one which can be used by women who do not have a full mouth. The only thing is lacking in the lipstick is that is more packed with balm than pigment and it takes some layering to get medium opacity from the product.
Face
Subject : Good Loose Powder but Terrible Scent
Comment : This powder surprised me, it did a wonderful job of setting my my face after I had applied my CC Cream. I have oily skin so some oils did seep through although not as much as it usually does. It lasts a few hours and since it is translucent it does not sit on top of the skin like most other compact powders. It is not uncomfortably drying either and it sets wonderfully under the eye. I am not a big fan of the scent of the powder and the packaging. I am most impressed by the powder to hold it against the product. The powder comes packaged in a typical talcum powder bottle. The powder retails for Rs. 85/- for 120 grams.
Eyes
Subject : For Eyes and Eyebrows
Comment : This pencil is unique since it is for the eyes and the eyebrows, presuming you stick to black, grey and brown shades. I got the shade black and I wore the product on my eyes and I tried it on my brows just for the kick of it. I am impressed by this pencil since it is soft and porous but it does not bleed or smear. It is smudges and is pretty versatile to smoke with and it does not fade away. It really stays put despite the heat, sweat and oil. I tend to set my eyes with a setting powder since I have oily lids, but I usually tend to have bleeding liner with eye pencils but this product stayed put. I wore it on my upper lid and it applied beautifully, it did not exaggerate lines and when I smudged the edges it blended beautifully. I bought the pencil from Nykaa for Rs. 425/-. I have spent the same amount or even more on various gel and cream pencils as well as kohls and I think I am ready to take a break from them now that I have discovered this pencil.
Face
Subject : Greasy but has good coverage
Comment : I purchased this concealer from nykaa.com in the shade 4 which is an exact match for my skin. The concealer comes in a pot and is creamy. I am not big on dipping my fingers into pots so I prefer a concealer brush to apply this product. It is full coverage concealer but it also felt a little greasy so instead of blending with a brush, I preferred to blend it with a sponge. Since the grease factor of the concealer was of some concern, I end up baking this concealer to ensure that it does not budge. I do not bother with concealing on a daily basis, if I do I usually color correct before concealing. I use the LA Girl Orange Corrector, which packs some serious pigment which can be covered only by a full-coverage concealer. This does a good job of blending over the color corrector and hiding the dark circles. This product is a good budget buy at Rs. 275/-, but if you do not mind spending a little more money, I would much rather recommend Maybelline Fit Me Concealer.
Face
Subject : Itty bitty packaging
Comment : This is a duo which comes which comes with a blush and a highlighter powder. You can mix both and apply if you are into shimmery blushes, I prefer a matte blush on the apples of my cheek and going over my bone structure with a highlighter. The problem with this product is that it a really small compact and atleast 2/3rd of the space is given to the highlighter side. So I had to pick up the blush with a fan brush and then use it to try and blend it over my cheeks. The blush is priced at Rs. 699/- for 4gms of product and I bought the shade pink glow. The blush is pigmented and it will show on the cheeks so if you prefer a blush to be more sheer which you can build on then this is not the blush for you. The highlighter is a little chalky and has a subtle glow so if you want a diva goddess glow then you probably should look else where. I usually end up travelling to attend weddings so having a 2-in-1 product always saves up on space but considering how small this compact is, it probably saves on way too much space.
Eyes
Subject : Unusual wand but does not injure
Comment : This is a very unique mascara to me atleast, as the wand has an unusual tip. It is pointed at the tip and has a fluffy brush for the remaining of the applicator. This is a good mascara, it really lengthens the lashes without clumping them together. It is one of those mascaras for is a little wet at the time of opening and you have to wait a few weeks for it to dry to help it give your lashes a fuller look. Despite the odd size of the mascara, it does not hurt the eye. The formula is easy to work with and you can even coat the lower lashes without the formula smearing all over the under-eye area. The mascara retails for Rs. 579/- and you get 8ml of product.
Lips
Subject : Non-Matte, Unforgiving Lipstick
Comment : I am someone who prides on making products work for me one way or another but this lipstick is an utter disappointment. I ordered the lipstick from the Nykaa website in the color Wicked Wine which looked a beautiful Mauve shade. The shade I got was not even a red undertone, infact it seemed more like it had a plum undertone. Worse yet, it was a shade I already had. I thought it is a very fall shade so I can make it work. On application I realized that it is not even a matte lipstick, it is a crème-sheen finish. It may not dry out the lips but it does transfer. I have a same shade in my Revlon Ultra HD liquid lipstick which is something I much prefer to this lipstick, as this lipstick stains my mouth. It is difficult to apply this lipstick without a liner, so if you are in a hurry then do not apply this lipstick because it will go over the edges. I am facing this problem despite having a full mouth. The flimsy packaging is the first thing you notice about this lipstick another factor that makes application of the lipstick difficult. Avon comes out with the best matte lipsticks ever and it is a Hundred Rupees more expensive than this lipstick. I would highly recommend the Avon Matte Lipsticks which has a satin-matte finish.

Subject : Review on Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil
Comment : By far the most hydrating and moisturising facial oil that I have ever used. The skin has such a healthy glow on regular use, it even reduces and repairs the minuscule wears and tears of your facial skin. The product is also one of the priciest facial oils I have ever bought. It's mainly anti-ageing and anti-oxidating. The oils used in the product is supposed to be cold pressed and the brand name Body Shop ensures its standing as a vegan brand.

Comment : Whenever I have used a product to battle my acne problems, it has dried out my skin and left it sensitive. This face wash is a rarity, you do see changes in the skin while using this product. My skin has always felt clean yet supple after washing my face with Himalaya Neem Face Wash. It is my 'if all else fails' product. It has a very fresh scent and the product is available in various sizes. My favourite is the smallest one which I use when I am travelling. You can even get the economy saver pack and not regret it.

Comment : Us oily skinned people have had those days that we have woken up with a layer of oil on our face and breakouts, on those days I have sighed, used a cleanser on my face and applied this pack on my face. There may be slight discomfort depending on the sensitivity of the skin, but that is only the ingredients of the product working its magic on your skin. The texture of the pack is not smooth and there are granules in the pack. which help exfoliate the skin. The face feels fresh, the skin looks evened out, smooth and supple.

Comment : I find this product to be so handy for travel, as I cannot carry day creams and night creams. I have combination skin, which means I need something that hydrates and is yet light weight. I find this product perfectly adequate for both. It gives a supple healthy glow to the skin, which is ideal for any pre-makeups skin treatment. It is quick absorbing you do not have that uncomfortable film that just sits on your skin and does not absorb. I do not like moisturising prior to priming and applying foundation as it becomes a little too much product on my skin, this product absorbs right into the skin without me developing a layer of oil on my skin.

Subject : Light Cream that Reduces Spots
Comment : This cream suits me well, it does not leave a white residue and has a lemony fragrance that I adore. I often wear this cream as a Night cream as well especially I want something light weight on my skin when I sleep. I have even seen reduced dark spots on my face. It has an SPF of 19, which may not bode well in the Indian sun but it may be relevant to a travel abroad to a land enjoys a less harsh sun.

Comment : I bought this product because the store did not have my Garnier White Cream. This product left me feeling so underwhelmed. It leaves a filmy white residue on the skin and it did not reduce my dark spots or give any brightening effect to my skin. Rather it made me look ghastly pale, so if you are looking for Fairness in a Victorian kind of way then look no further than this product. I even tried using the cream as night cream under a hydrating serum so that the product would blend better and work better, but I did not see any difference in my dark spots either. If anything I felt the product exaggerated the appearance of my pores and scars.

Subject : Cleanses, freshens and doesn't leave the skin dry
Comment : I highly recommend this wash for combination skin, it really cleans your skin and leaves it feeling so fresh and supple, but there is no dryness afterwards, there is no oiliness either for hours. It does even out the skin and you even see visible reduction in dark spots. Travelling really messes with my skin and often I carry this face wash as I know it could do me no wrong.

Subject : Ordinary Cream
Comment : The cream has a very pretty fragrance, but I did not notice any grand results with this cream. I might as well have not bought this cream and slept bare faced. I have youngish skin so I tried the product on my mother and I still could see no difference in skin health or tone. I do not expect the cream to do wonders, but I do expect it to something more than nothing. On the other hand, the cream has no vices since it did not clog my pores and make me break out, but it did not bring that hydrated glow to my skin either.

Comment : It really cleans up the dead skin and it does a thorough job of it. Scrub your skin one time too many in a week, it might leave your skin sensitive and raw. It cleans your skin and rubs in antibacterial properties into the skin. It does not dry out the skin, rather it gives out supple glow to the skin. I will recommend that you practice precaution with this product and do not go to harshly over your skin.

Comment : I originally hail from a humid city, so I if I travel to a city that has humidity, my skin dehydrates by default. This product is a life saver, it moisturises, hydrates and softens the skin. Layer it with your favourite day or night cream and the results are far better. Skin looks plush and bright, that stretched skin feeling goes away. I have combination skin, so I use this product to moisturise before I use a primer and foundation. By the time you set your face, your skin looks fabulous. It actually makes layers products on your skin much easier.

Subject : It is an okay 3 in 1
Comment : There isn't many options in the 3 in 1 (Cleanser, Scrub and Mask) product in India, Avon has 2 and Garnier has 1. I prefer all three to this product. I bought this product as I could not find the Garnier one. It is not a great cleanser or scrub as my face does not feel squeaky clean after usage. Moreover, it tingles my skin which is alarming, after washing my skin I did not notice any damage, so I willing to continue with this product. I usually like to travel with these products as they save space for three products. I did notice a glow on the skin, but it is not as effective as the Avon or Garnier products. I will just have to make do with this one.

Subject : Contains Salicylic Acid
Comment : This product comes in a clear gel form that has this eau de cologne like fragrance. The product tingles in a minty fresh way when you lather it on your skin. It does not lather a lot, which is reassuring that it does not have too much sulfate in it. It leaves you with that fresh feeling for a while, depending on whether you tone and moisturize your skin immediately or not. The face-wash is said to have Detect Technology which detects and targets the acne causing bacteria. The face wash is also supposed to be good for sebum control which in turn will leave your skin shine-free, clear skin with fewer imperfections.

Subject : Favourite Gel
Comment : I love this aloe vera gel, it is easily available everywhere and has no fragrance to it. I suffer from allergies and hives and this product has always come to my rescue. Comment : This product if spritzed on the skin dries down to a sticky residue on your face. Generally rosewater is recommended for sensitive skin, but this product tingles and burns if applied to sensitive skin. It does nothing for the skin, it does not hydrate it or refresh it. Any moisturizer I apply on top of this product takes so long to blend into the skin. It is my least favorite rose water.

Subject : Multani Mitti Paste
Comment : I usually buy this mud pack during monsoon season when my skin gets oily because of the humidity but I am not necessarily breaking out. This mud pack is good for absorbing the oil and reducing those minuscule bumps on the skin. It doesn't dry and mattifies your skin completely so much so that it feels stretched. Rather it leaves some form of hydration so that the skin seems supple and healthy. I find this product convenient because I don't have to buy a face pack powder and mix it in a bowl with some water to the right consistency and then apply on the face, I can just squeeze the product out and directly apply it on my face.

Subject : Long Time Favourite
Comment : For years I only used this product as it mattified my skin without any need for setting it. Since it was matte, I could apply this liberally over my arms, legs and face. It even gave me sheer coverage and even tones skin. It did prevent my skin from sun damage, but it was not completely efficient in avoiding tanning of the skin. It is not sweat, water or transfer proof.
Sunscreen
Subject : Useless
Comment : This is my least favourite sunscreen, it was too oily despite its claims for being suitable for all skin types. I did nothing to protect my skin against the sun, it is not at all sweat-proof and it wipes away easily.
Sunscreen
Subject : Sticky Formulation
Comment : This product has that tradition sun screen formulation, where it is sticky, does not blend easily and has a white residue to it. Despite its claims for being a Fairness lotion as well, I did not see any difference in my skin tone. I avoided using this product on my face and I mostly applied it to my arms and legs. It does not have a comfortable feel on the skin and the SPF is not as strong as I would like it to be for the Indian Sun.
Cleansers
Subject : Micro beads present for gentle exfoliation
Comment : This products really rids you off dead cells and diet, leaving behind fresh and healthy skin. This product has microbeads that are gentle on the skin. This product is allergy and dermatologically tested.
Hand & Foot Cream
Subject : Soft and Silky Hands
Comment : This hand cream has the most soothing scents which smells like blossoms. This product is not greasy, quick absorbing and leaves such a silky feel to your skin. It is by far my favourite hand cream and I have been using this product for ages. Your skin feels very hydrated and soft. It is supposed to be whitening hand cream, but I have not seen any visible changes on my hands skin tone. You can really massage this cream into your cuticles to soften them up. It is not a massive product, so if you have acute dry hands, then you can carry this product in your bag and use it as and when you need it.

Subject : Acne Clearing and Non-Drying Face Wash
Comment : I prefer this face wash if I am in a more drier place but I am still prone to breakout. The wash lasts quiet a while despite regular use. It does not dry out your skin and does not bare open your pores either. I do not see a change in my scars or skin tone, but it does help with reducing sebum production. I notices lesser bumps and texture on my skin as well.
Exfoliator
Subject : Rough Granules
Comment : I have never been a fan of apricot scrubs as they always leave me prone to breakout if I am careful with its application. This product leaves a very greasy feel especially in my t-zone area. I always need to clean the area with some toner on a cotton, to get a more refreshed feeling. I also notice that my pores become more evident after a scrub. It does do a good job of exfoliating per se, but the product is not something I would continue using for a regular basis.
Cleansers
Subject : Too drying and too harsh
Comment : I did not see results that I would like with this product. It was too harsh and it was too drying and to add to my misery I had not seen any difference in my acne. I was quiet underwhelmed with this product, as it left my skin feeling quiet sensitive.
Cleansers
Subject : Gentle yet Thorough Cleanser
Comment : I bought this product by accident as I had thought it was a face wash, it turned out to be a cleansing milk. It turned out to be a very good yet very gentle cleanser. I use it on my dry skin days as it is nourishing and I even use it to remove eye makeup as it is gentle and does not burn your eyes in case if it comes into contact with them. A little product goes a long way, so this product is a one time investment. It even does a thorough job of cleaning the makeup of your face, no matter how many layers you may have on.
Lips
Subject : Rookie Mistake
Comment : I must have used and carried this product for years. It is most annoying product I have ever used in my life. It turned my lips black, it melts to an absolute liquid form if it gets too hot and it does not do a very good job of moisturising. It has never healed my lips, its barely even protected it from dryness. Since I do have an oily skin, despite the dry lips, it even makes me breakout. God forbid you wear this product in the sun, it makes your lips burn. I was so happy to see the last of this product.
Lip Care
Subject : Balmy and Fruity
Comment : It is a fruity balm that is hydrating. There is a tint to these balms, which may alter any lip color that you may apply after. It does not last for a very long time, say overnight, so it is not a lip treatment. It soothes dry lips and soften them, but I cannot say I have seen it having any healing properties.
Toners
Subject : Good toner for acne prone skin
Comment : This is a good toner for battling the acne bacteria, although I am not sure if I would classify this as a good product for closing the pores. Also, I am not a big fan of applying a product like tea tree as a spritz, it is not a refreshing face mist. Tea tree works well when it dabbed on the skin since it helps get rid of the oil and sebum and work its magic on acne-causing bacteria. Spritzing it on over a layer of oil and sebum already present on the skin is a bit of a miss for me.
Masque
Subject : Go to mask for drier weather
Comment : This mask is great for refreshing and brightening the skin. It does not try out the skin completely and it also gives a supple healthy glow. Since skin does get a little dull during winters and it can use some help getting a little glow. The product has a papaya scent and it does tingle a little on the skin, but there is nothing to get alarmed about. I would recommend this product even for combination skin, as it even does a good job of absorbing any excess oil or sebum. I do not wash this product off, rather I take some cleansing milk on some cotton and wipe it off. After all the excess product is removed, I then rinse my face with cold water.
Cleansers
Subject : Refreshing
Comment : I have used this product for more on the go purpose than for toning. I use this product to carry in my bag and use it to mist my face whenever my face needs refreshing. It has a fresh rose scent and it quickly absorbs into my skin without leaving any tacky feeling.
Moisturizer
Subject : Does not fill in cracks or prevent them
Comment : I must have used this product for weeks hoping that it would something other than making my feet greasy. It does not prevent cracks or fill them in. The scent is not pleasant whatsoever and on an overall, it was just a dud. I even tried leaving this product overnight, but it has no longevity.
Toners
Subject : Gentle and Refreshing Toner
Comment : This is probably my favourite budget buy toner. It is refreshing and hydrating toner that is not harsh on the skin. This product does a good job of getting rid of any sebum on my skin. closing my pores and really toning the skin. It is a quick-absorbing formula that does not sting your skin or leave any tacky feeling to it, instead, it gives you a healthy glow. It does not dry out the skin so you can take your time to let your skin absorb this product before applying any moisturiser. The product lists some natural products such as citrus lemon, Boerhavia root and lentil.
Hand & Foot Cream
Subject : Smells like Detergent
Comment : This product does nothing for your feet, it smells like detergent and it just makes them greasy. It is a waste of time, energy and money.
Cleansers
Subject : Contains Grape seed and Tea Tree Oil
Comment : This is a gentle cleanser, that you can use to remove dirt, oil, sebum, make-up and even eye makeup, without stinging your eyes. Since it has tea tree oil, it nourishes your skin without making it break out.
Under Eye
Subject : Does nothing
Comment : I do not have severe dark circles, but I bought this cream thinking that it could give some form of hydration and moisturisation. I just gave up on this cream as it did not do anything. It did not reduce my dark circles, it does not brighten the area and it does not hydrate. I preferred using a facial oil under eyes to make my eyes look healthier.
Toners
Subject : Lemon Scented
Comment : This is, in fact, a cooling toner that does a good job of cleaning oil and sebum from the pores. The product does contain some fragrance which is lemon scented, but it is a very chemical lemon scent. This product has ingredients that do fight acne like salicylic acid and benzoic acid. It also contains alcohol and a lot of other chemical compounds, which may be the reason there is tacky feeling left on the skin once the toner dries down. The skin does not dry out after using the toner but the tacky feeling does not give a refreshed look to the skin either. I usually end up using this product if I am breaking out or during warmer weather to control the oil and sebum.
Cleansers
Subject : Face wash and Face Mask.
Comment : This is a unique product, it says face wash but it comes in powder consistency. This product is completely natural as it contains almond, orange peel, lemon peel, black and red gram, rose, fuller's earth, neem, turmeric, alum, natural surfactant and essential oil of orange. I tried this product as a face wash, which means that you have to take some product in the palm of your hand and add some water or rose water and then use the paste to cleanse your face. I tried it when my face looked tired, with my makeup running and my skin looking greasy. It did a thorough job of cleaning my face of oil, grim and makeup. I had a very opaque lipstick on and it washed that off as well, without leaving so much as a stain. The instructions on the bottle said that I could try it as a masque as well, so I added some rose water to the product and smeared it on my face, only to wash it after 10-15 mins. I was underwhelmed by those results, as I felt my face looked more fresh after using the product as a face wash than it did as a face mask. I am having some breakout, so the product tingled a little on impact, but that just means that the products anti-acne properties are at work. I would recommend this product to people who are sensitive to chemicals and sulphates present in commercial face washes, as this product is chemical free and does not dry out your skin.
Moisturizer
Subject : Delicious Mango Scent that lasts all day
Comment : This is brilliant product as it smells wonderful and it hydrates your body all day long and makes you smell like fresh mango all day long. With this product a little goes a long way, so the product lasts a while in the jar and the scent remains even after the jar is wiped clean of the product. I am from a humid city, so I would use this product for my night time regimen before sleeping and it would do a beautiful job of nourishing my skin overnight. This product does feel a little greasy on impact and once it is absorbed into the skin it gives the skin a very healthy glow.
Moisturizer
Subject : Do not like this lotion
Comment : I am not a fan of products that use petroleum jelly base for moisturizing the skin as it gives me clogged pores. This product is not suited for extreme humid weather as it makes you sweat and it is not suited dry regions during winter as it does not nourish the skin as well. I have tried and tested it in both weathers. In dry and cold climate it does not do a good job of lasting all day, so you do have to keep reapplying it all day which means this product gets over more quickly than a really good lotion. I would recommend this product for dry skin during warmer seasons and normal skin for pleasant weather, beyond that there is no point in using this product.
Body Wash
Subject : 100% Vegetarian and PH Balancing Formula
Comment : Firstly I would like to thank Glamrada for selecting me for the trial and sending me this beautiful body wash. Mantra is associated with Baidyanath Research Foundation which is known for its R&D work in the field of Ayurveda. This product comes with a pump attached to the bottle, which is very important from the hygiene point of view. It does carry the scent of Jasmine, but it is not a strong scent as no Parfum is used in this product. In fact, this product has no SLES or Sulphates, Soap, Silicone or any form of artificial colour or fragrance. As this product has no soap or sulphates it does not lather much, so you do have to trust that the product is doing its job. I tried this product on its own and with a loofah, either way, it cleanses without drying your skin out. You do need to apply a moisturiser after because although this product maintains the PH balance of your skin it doesn't nourish it or moisturise it. This product is 100% vegetarian. You can purchase this product either on mantraherbals.in or your preferred online shopping websites such as Flipkart, Amazon or Nykaa.
Gel
Subject : Balming but not nourishing
Comment : I tried this product for a variety of reason and it has always left me underwhelmed. I tried it on the dry cracked skin on my hand, feet, elbows and knees during the harshest of winter and it would just coat the area but it would never nourish and heal it. I feel creams and aloe vera gel work better than petroleum jelly when it comes to nourishing the skin.
Masque
Subject : Purifying Mask that Lightens Marks
Comment : It is a purifying mask that tinges a little, depending on the sensitivity of your skin. It reduced acne scars as well. It improves skin immunity by reducing infection and oil.
Toners
Subject : Diluted but refreshing
Comment : This product is more water than rose water, but it is still quiet refreshing. I buy the big size bottle and use it mainly to add in clay masks or multani mitti to form a paste. If I am running short on face mist then I transfer this product in a spritzer and give my face a mini-shower with it. This product does a decent job of hydrating and soothing the skin.
Cleansers
Subject : Cleanses and Smoothens
Comment : This is a good exfoliating face wash that can be used on a daily basis. It does not dry out the skin or leave it irritated. I would recommend this face wash for oily and combination skin. This face wash reduces texture on the skin as well as acne. I would recommend using a toner after washing your face as regular exfoliation can leave the pores open.
Exfoliator
Subject : Old Fashioned Walnut Scrub
Comment : I am over walnut scrubs, they were a big deal in the 90's, but in this era of microbeads, I fail to see the purpose of walnut scrubs. It does a good job of exfoliating, but you have to be so careful using this product as it does open up your pores and make you prone to break out with acne. Walnut scrubs can be a little harsh and I would recommend it that you use it once a fortnight if not once a month. The product does come in a creamy consistency which nourishes the skin while you are scrubbing your face and neck.
Face
Subject : Makes your skin feel a little stretched
Comment : Let me start with the packaging, it has the weirdest tag line which says " Natural Balance for skin to make complexion fresh smooth & beautiful". It does not exactly encourage the authenticity of the product. It is a lemon-honey face wash, but the ingredients do include aloe vera, neem and tulsi. The product is gel based and has a very chemical lemon like scent. The product did get rid of my oil, but it left the sensitive areas feeling a little stretched, which is strange for a product containing a moisturizing agent like aloe vera. I would recommend this product more for oily skin than for combination skin.
Moisturizer
Subject : Brightening but not hydrating
Comment : I have combination skin and since the weather is pleasant, part of my face is seeming relatively drier than usual requiring me to invest in a day cream and night cream that can nourish and even my skin tone. This product I bought hoping that it would hydrate my skin and heel my scars. It is a good cream that does brighten the skin and brings about an even tone to it, nonetheless, I found this cream to be not as hydrating in my drier skin regions. I needed to go over the cream with an essential oil for extra hydration. The cream has a lot of chemicals that I cannot even spell let alone pronounce, which makes me consider if this cream is actually healthy for my face or not. I have noticed clogged pores on my nose and cheeks and an increase of uneven texture.
Masque
Subject : Healthy Glowing Skin
Comment : My skin is in this weird transition where it is drier but it is still prone to breakouts due to my hormones. I need a product that can moisturise my skin to give it a healthy glow and yet soothe any eruption that are occurring on my skin. This peel off mask did the exact thing, it helped moisturising my skin and it worked its magic on my breakouts. Fair warning, it does tingle a little in your sensitive areas or on your acne area, but that is only momentary. I would recommend this product as a pre-makeup skin treatment for a healthy glow.
Moisturizer
Subject : Medium Coverage BB Cream
Comment : I have never been a Ponds person until this product, this is a medium coverage BB cream that has a dewy finish, but it feels lightweight on the skin. I do need to set this product as this product just sits on the skin and it does not become one with the skin like most foundations or CC/BB creams. I have the shade natural cover which is the correct tone for me as I have a very warm undertone. If you want to sheer this product down, then I would suggest that you can use a sponge or beauty blender to do that. This product is definitely buildable but it does so without your face looking too cakey. Fair warning is that the product does get wiped away easily so I would recommend being careful when touching the face with your hand or tissue.
Exfoliator
Subject : Classic Walnut Scrub
Comment : It is a cream based scrub with granules in it. It is an old-fashioned walnut scrub that you need to practice precaution with as it may cause over-exfoliation. I feel sea-salt scrubs, sugar scrubs, micro-beads and even DIY scrubs do a much better use of exfoliating and smoothening the skin that an old-fashioned walnut scrub. It really opens up your pores so you do need to use a toner with this product, otherwise, it can lead to breakouts. I have never liked the cream base of this product as I felt it made my skin too oily. I prefer multiple scrubs over this scrub, I do not see myself using this product in the near future.
Masque
Subject : Helps clear blackheads and spots
Comment : This product contain Salicylic Acids and Papaya Extract which help detect and kill acne causing bacteria. The instruction specially asks for the mask to be left on for exactly 5 mins, which should be duly followed as Salicylic Acids is quiet a potent ingredient. The mask is a creamy texture which tingles and cools the skin at the same time. Your skin looks refreshed and clean after washing the mask off. It reduces texture on the skin and gives the skin a smoother appearance.
Hair Oil
Subject : Not your typical Coconut Oil
Comment : I love this product and it is a convenient product to have especially when you are running short on time but you do not want to skip oiling your hair. This product comes in a small tube which you can submerge in some hot water for a minute and then apply it to your scalp and leave it on for 30 mins to an hour. This product does not have an oily consistency and it quickly absorbs into your hair and scalp. It has a beautiful fragrance which does not resemble any coconut oil that you have ever smelt. It adds that extra nourishment that your hair requires from oiling your hair. It makes your hair soft and shiny and it even nourishes the scalp.
Toners
Subject : Non-Tacky and Non Perfumed Rose Water
Comment : This product is one of my favourite rosewater toners. The description of this product states that it can be used on the skin and can also be used for cooking purpose. I am no culinary expert, but I really like this product for the face. It does not leave a tacky feeling on the skin once it dries down and the skin feels nourished and hydrated. I have oily skin and no matter what products I apply, after few hours it does get greasy. With this product, I have noticed a more matte t-zone which is a big deal for me. It does not carry a rose scent which is a good thing since some people are sensitive to perfume. My only hiccup with the product is that it does not come in a spray or spritz form.
Face
Subject : Review on Biotique Papaya Face Wash
Comment : I don't understand the purpose of this face wash, it does not even tone the skin, brighten it or fight acne. The beads do a thorough job of cleaning makeup or grime, but it doesn't do anything extra for the skin. It doesn't nourish it or mattify it. The beads in the product are not meant for regular use as they tend to over-exfoliate the skin and leave it raw and sensitive.
Body Oil
Subject : Review on Omorfee Body Softening Oil
Comment : This is a very hydrating oil but it lasts exactly for 24 hours after that your skin dries out. It has a musky scent to it which indicates that it has some form of parfum. The product is a mix of nourishing oils like Jojoba and Olive and also essential oils like Lavender and Lemongrass. Unfortunately, I broke out in hives when I used this product so I would not be using it again. People who suffer from allergies may practice precaution
Cleansers
Subject : Powder Face Wash
Comment : This product is following the current organic products trend that is a face cleanser which is in powder form. You need to add some water to it and make it in a paste form before rubbing it on your face. I find this product a gimmick, firstly it smells like milk, which I hate. It dries out my face which is strange as I have combination skin. Finally, it is not a very effective cleanser.
Hair Oil
Subject : Has Wheat & Coconut Oil
Comment : It has a more gel consistency than an oily consistency. The tube needs to be left in hot water to be heated. Break the seal and apply the product to the scalp and hair. You need to leave the product in your hair for 30 mins to an hour. It is a very efficient product to leave in your hair especially when you are running short on time. It makes your hair healthy and soft.
Gel
Subject : Quick Absorbing, Non-greasy and Very Cooling
Comment : Aerth Naturals is an Uttrakhand based company that deals in Bath and Beauty products with an emphasis on 'going back to the roots'. It is a company that believes in bring back traditional recipes that were once revered when it came to Bath and Beauty. This gel is really cooling and hydrating at the same time. It is quick absorbing but it does not leave an icky tacky feeling to the skin. In fact the skin feels very refreshed and the hydration last you practically the whole day. It is the correct amount of hydration for oily skin, which balances the skin moisture levels and thereby controls the sebum and oil. It has a tingly cooling sensation which more soothing than an irritant. The product has Aloe Vera, Aqua, Lavender Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Grapefruit Oil and Vitamin-E.
Hair Oil
Subject : Contains 7 different oils
Comment : This hair oil contains Coconut, Olive, Argan, Almond, Macadamia and Sunflower Oil. It is non-greasy or non-sticky lightweight oil. It is the perfect hair oil for leaving in the hair for an hour or two before washing the hair. Each oil is supposed to have its own beneficial quality which makes the hair stronger, softer and healthier.
Makeup Remover
Subject : Review on Kara Makeup Removal Wipes
Comment : I love this product when I have to travel for weddings and other occasions. It is difficult to carry a makeup remover along with cotton while travelling and this product is so much more convenient to pack in comparison. It does a good job of cleaning the makeup off including eye make up without tugging too hard on your gentle eye skin. This product is also convenient on days when functions tend to run late and we just want to rush through CTM and call it a day.
Hand & Foot Cream
Subject : Review on Oriflame Heel Repair Foot Cream
Comment : This is the best-scented foot cream, it smells fresh and it feels so creamy. It has a quick absorption formula which doesn't make your feet feel like they have been smeared with grease. In fact, your feet feel soft once the product is massaged into them. Overnight you would notice results especially in the drier areas of the feet.
Body Oil
Subject : Review on TVAM Body Massage Oil
Comment : This is a good oil, especially when your skin needs that extra nourishment once in a while. The oil is not greasy and absorbs into the skin to hydrate it and give it a glow. The rose scent is not overwhelming to the senses. The product is meant to boost blood circulation and improve stress levels.
Bath Salt
Subject : Review on TVAM Bath Salt
Comment : I love this bath scrub, it leaves your skin smooth and soft. It has a lovely scent that is refreshing and lingers on all day long. Your skin develops a healthy glow with regular use. The product is made of dead sea salts that have been enriched with minerals and rose essential oils.
Exfoliator
Subject : Review on Anatomicals Body Scrub
Comment : Anatomicals is a London based company that produced some groovy toiletries that are cruelty free. This product smells deliciously like fresh marmalade and it does a good job of scrubbing your skin and leaving behind a silky smooth body.
Toners
Subject : Review on Ma Earth Botanicals Rose Water Toner
Comment : MA Earth Botanicals is a New Delhi based, Skincare and Haircare luxury line made of pure aromatherapy oils. This product claims to be made of 100% rose water with no added fragrance or preservatives. I tried spritzing this product and well as using it on a cotton to wipe the skin with. I feel using this product on a cotton to cleanse/tone the skin has better results than just spritzing it on and leaving it to be absorbed into the skin.
Hand & Foot Cream
Subject : Review on Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender Hand Therapy
Comment : For those who do not know, Crabtree and Evelyn is a USA based company, which has its distribution in both UK and USA. This cream has a more incense like scent, instead of a fresh lavender scent. As the name implies, it is a very moisturizing hand cream. Younger skin may not require so much of moisturizing as much an aged skin. It does get into the finer lines on the hand and deeply moisturizes it. I would recommend this cream for night use as it is a little greasy.
Hair Serum
Subject : Love this serum
Comment : I use this product religiously. I would use it to de-frizz and detangle my hair so my hair looked slightly better groomed. I would use it for protecting my hair in case I decided to use some heat on my hair like a blow dryer. It even gives this boost of healthy glow to the hair. I am not sure if it is a nourishing product and it does contain parfum which is not healthy for the hair. If you have long thick hair you do need to use a little more than what is recommended on the bottle as the product isn't all that spreadable.
Hair Oil
Subject : Review on 6 Oil Nourish
Comment : I use this oil as a hair serum since it has no evident scent, therefore it must contain lower levels of parfum. I use this on my damp hair whether I am air drying it or blow drying it. On days that I have run out of hair oil, I use this product on my scalp as well. You do have to be careful while using this product as a serum, as it does appear greasy on excessive use.
Body Oil
Subject : Review on bath & shower oil
Comment : I absolutely love this oil, it smells heavenly and it hydrates the skin for hours. I love using this oil before I sleep just so I can wake up to that heavenly vanilla scent. It is a quick absorbing and non-greasy formula.
Lip Care
Subject : Review on Lip Balm
Comment : This product is the staple of every girl's bag, with its hydrating creamy texture and its fresh fruity scent. The product's shelf life lasts ages and is worth the price tag, not to mention how long it lasts on the lips.
Hand & Foot Cream
Subject : Review on Avon Hand Cream
Comment : Argan oil has multiple moisturising benefits to the skin and hair, but it also has a certain scent and it can also be a little greasy. This hand cream is moisturising, but it comes with a scent that may or may not favourable and it is a little greasy. I would recommend using this cream at night before sleeping so it doesn't bother you with its scent or grease.
Face Mists
Subject : Review on Rose & Mist facial water
Comment : This product is more rose than mint, but it does cool your face while it gets absorbed into the skin. It does dry down to a very tacky feeling to the skin. Even if it does hydrate the skin, I do not enjoy the tacky feeling on the skin. This product claims to have hydrosol as well which helps in cooling the skin. It is supposed to be sulphate, paraben harmful chemical, harmful colourant and petrolatum free. The product is available on the Smytten app and the Natural Bath n Body website.
Gel
Subject : Review on Banjara's Aloe Vera Gel
Comment : This product is easily my least favourite aloe vera gel. It has a musky fragrance, which is a major fail for me. I use aloe vera to soothe my skin, the fact that this product has a very evident form of parfum in it and that is a known irritant to the skin, I fail to see the use of this product. I doesn't anything that you would expect your aloe vera to do, to soothe, hydrate, moisturise, etc. I was so happy to be rid of this product.
Masque
Subject : Review on Multani & Aloevera face pack
Comment : I really like this product, it is a mud base mask with the goodness of aloe vera. It soaks up the oil and hydrates the skin. It also evens out the tone of the skin and gives a healthy glow to it.
Masque
Subject : Review on Neem Clay Mask
Comment : This is a wonderful product that removes excess oil without drying out the skin. It leaves such a wonderful glow to the skin and even tones it as well. It purifies the skin which may cause slight discomfort, depending on how sensitive your skin is. The product utterly refreshes and revives the skin.

Comment : The face washes are very ordinary, did not cleanse very well or hydrate. It may as well as be a hand wash. It comes in three flavours, orange, strawberry and peach.
Toners
Subject : Review on Rose & Pearl Toner
Comment : This toner is really drying and it claims to be whitening, but I did not see any results to justify this claim. It really made my skin sensitive and raw. It is rare for me to not like a toner, but this toner really did not suit me.
Toners
Subject : Review on Whitening Toner
Comment : Oriflame does produce some of the best toners I have ever tried. This is a toner that suits my skin, even if I skip moisturising my skin, it never feels dry after I have applied this toner. Even on my sensitive skin days, applying this toner does not burn or hurt my skin.
Face Oil
Subject : Review on Tea tree anti-imperfections solution
Comment : Unlike most facial oils this oil does not have hydrating properties. It is a quick absorbing oil that does reduce your acne. In fact, the facial oil mattifies the skin. This oil also has some exfoliating properties that may over-sensitize your skin if you are already on some other treatments.
Serums
Subject : Contains Vita-Resorcinol
Comment : The product contains micro-crystals to give the skin a Fair and Illuminated Look. The product also contains Vito-Resorcinol that diminishes the formation and transfer of skin darkening pigment. It has a smooth application on the skin. It is not greasy and very light weight crème that absorbs quickly into the skin. It has good hydrating properties and I don't see any immediate difference in the skin tone, but the illumination is evident.
Sheet Masks
Subject : Review on White Rose Mask
Comment : This is a very hydrating mask that brightens the skin beautiful.
Masque
Subject : Review on Avon Naturals Rose Petal Whitening Mask
Comment : This is gel product that comes in a plastic jar. I have not noticed whitening properties but it does brighten and hydrates the skin. I have used a thin layer of this product and left it overnight. I do like how my skin feels after application.
Cleansers
Subject : Review on Papaya Whitening Cleanser
Comment : I bought this face wash as I needed a slightly gentler product that an exfoliating one but I wanted one that did a thorough job of cleaning my skin of the grime and oil. I have noticed an even tone in my skin and reduction of marks, but it does not leave the skin as hydrated as I would like, but there is a brightness to the skin that I do like after using this product.

Subject : Revie on Green Tea and Tea Tree Oil Cleanser
Comment : I would not recommend this product as a face wash because if you use this product on a daily basis, then it will leave your skin feeling over-exfoliated and sensitive. I would recommend this as a scrub as this really scrub away the dirt and dead skin, but I would again practice precaution as to how often you use this product in a week. One or Two times a week should suffice for good skin results.

Toners
Subject : Review on Avon nutraeffects toner
Comment : I am always tempted to empty this product into a Mister and Mist my face all day long. I love this toner, it leaves me feeling fresh and clean. I do not rub this product over my skin like a cleansing milk, I lightly dab it with a cotton ball and let my skin absorb its hydrating properties. This toner does leave your skin with a healthy glow.
Sunscreen
Subject : Review on Avon Solutions Sun UV Protective Lotion SPF 40 PA+++
Comment : I am a fan of this product as it is a non-greasy sunscreen. Its claim is that light oil-free formula for face and body. It also claims that it sweat and water resistant sunscreen. As the name suggests it has an SPF of 40, which is ideal for the Indian Sun. I can say with certainty that it is oil-free as well as the fact that it is sweat proof. I have never tested the water proof claim and I have always used the product on my arms and legs but never on my face.

Comment : I love this oil, I used it for the drier areas of my skin, under the eyes, around my mouth and around my cheekbone area and the hollow of the cheeks as well. It is a light oil so your face does not feel greasy. If I have developed sensitivity and redness on my facial skin, then I use this oil to soothe my skin. It has a light fragrance, but nothing that would bother one's olfactory senses.
Moisturizer
Subject : Review on Avon Ayurvedic Whitening Cream
Comment : My least favourite face cream, it did absorb into your skin, leaving a white residue and a matte feeling as if talcum powder had applied to the face instead of the cream. I did not notice any difference in my skin tone or dark spots, in fact, I did not even find this cream moisturising or hydrating. I do not mind a cream that absorbs into the skin with a mattifying effect, but I do expect the cream to have a function apart from being a time or money waste.
Toners
Subject : Review on Aloe vera face toner
Comment : This toner is meant more for Normal Skin and has hydrating properties. It does refresh your skin on application and has a very fresh fragrance that I love. I would recommend this for people with sensitive skin that could do with a hydration boost.
Face Oil
Subject : Pre-Shower Body Oil
Comment : So this product is an oil that you apply 30 mins prior to having a bath. It is a quick absorbing formula, which brings an instant supple glow to the skin. It is a non-greasy formula that washes away with soap, shower gel and even ubtan. The oil is 100% pure, which retains its original scent of the ingredients. The scent goes away after the bath as it isn't pungent. I usually find this oil nourishing enough to not require re-moisturizing after a shower, but I do not have dry skin and I do not live in a dry climate. It is an added step in which I indulge whenever I can spare some time, which is rare.
Cleansers
Subject : Review on Green Tea Natural Facewash
Comment : I liked this face wash a lot. It is refreshing and is non-drying. I do notice a glow on my face after using this face wash. A little goes a long way with this face wash and there is only a gentle lather which is more than sufficient for cleansing the face.
Body Oil
Subject : Review on Organic Neem Oil
Comment : The product can be used for hair, body and face. It is a pre-wash so you need to mix with another oil like a sweet almond oil or sesame oil before application as the neem oil is supposed to be potent. My skin did not tingle on application with the oil and I have not noticed any side effects. My skin looks healthier and brighter even after the initial application. The scent is an issue which is why I prefer using it in small quantities for my hair and body. I use 2-3 drops for my entire face and I avoid the eye region.
Hair Serum
Subject : Review on Livon Hair Serum
Comment : My hair is so much more manageable after I use this serum on my hair. It reduces tangles, which in turn reduces my hair breakage and hair breaks. The product has a scent as it contains some parfum. It is lightweight formula ergo, it does not leave your hair oily or greasy looking.
Moisturizer
Subject : Review on Deep Restore Llotion
Comment : This is a good moisturiser for winter or for extremely dry skin. It kept my skin hydrated for 24 hours and then some. I am not big on using a product that uses petroleum jelly as a base as it clogs pores.
Body Oil
Subject : Organic sesame oil cold pressed
Comment : Sesame oil is a good massage oil that helps in blood circulation and its high nutrition value. It is also a good anti-ageing product that reverses any damage or ageing effect to the skin or even to the hair. It is a good oil for reviving heat damages hair or UV ray damaged skin. This oil does absorb quickly into the skin without any greasiness and brings an instant sheen to the skin.
Body Oil
Subject : Used as pre-wash for skin and hair
Comment : The first thing that strikes you about the product is the scent, it is musky and nutty at the same time. This oil is highly recommended to be used with the Kama Ayurveda Neem Oil, in case the oil is too potent for sensitive skin. This oil is ideal for pre-wash for hair and skin. The description says non-greasy and fast absorbing but I noticed that there is tackiness to the oil and it does not absorb easily into the skin. It is a very safe oil that I use over my brows, underneath my eyes and lashes as almond oil is known for vitamin e content which helps in nourishing sensitive skin and promote hair growth.
Moisturizer
Subject : This is a face wash not a cream
Comment : Glamrada has mentioned the wrong name of the product as there is no aloe vera cream gel by Oriflame, but going by the picture instead of the nature, I will be writing this review. Oriflame's Love Nature Cleansing gels are some of the best face washes out there. This is the aloe vera one which is a more gentle cleanser than the tea tree one. It is meant for normal skin, but I have a combination skin, but on an overall I felt this product really mattified by skin. It is not the most hydrating face wash but it does a good job of cleaning the skin without irritating it. It does not open up the pores and since it is gentle cleanser, it can be recommended for people with sensitive skin issues.
Face
Subject : NA
Comment : This toner is specifically meant for acne-prone skin and it contains salicylic acid and pomegranate extract. It is a refreshing toner than soothes breakout, tones the skin and tightens pores. Most toners and facial mists leave a tacky feeling to the skin, which this toner does not do. It makes the skin look hydrated from initial application and despite containing potent ingredients like salicylic acid, it does not sting or tingle, although people with highly sensitive skin may need to take caution. A little goes a long with this product and it keeps the skin mattified from oiliness and yet manages to keep it hydrated and healthy at the same time.
Sheet Masks
Subject : Contains BHA
Comment : The sheet mask I received was completely saturated in the formula, in fact when I opened the cover some formula spilled out, so I would advice practicing caution while opening the packet. Sheet masks is the new skincare fad from Korea where a cotton sheet is cut for the face and it saturated with different formulas for different concerns. I tried the BHA mask which is meant for removing the dead skin and hydrating the new skin underneath. It is a very hydrating formula that cools and soothes the skin as well. I noticed an even tone to my skin along with this healthy dewy glow. The formula has a neutral scent to it which means no parfum was used and it even contains some quantity of salicylic acid which helped dry out and soothe some painful breakouts. It is a self pamper or skin prep product which requires time to show effect onto the skin, so if you have only 5 mins to spare then this product cannot pull miracles in a limited amount of time.
Exfoliator
Subject : Miracle Worker
Comment : I have loved this product for the past 12 years. The instructions are clear, leave it on a cleaned face for 3-4 minutes and then scrub your face gently for the next 3 minutes and the results are astounding. You get a brightened and even toned face. I noticed a reduction in my acne and my acne scars. I would not recommend using any other exfoliant apart from this product and I definitely would not recommend using this product more than once a week. It is not a drying product although you need to tone your skin in order to close the pores.
Shampoo
Subject : No Sulphates ergo no damage
Comment : This shampoo does not lather as it is absolutely natural. It leaves the hair soft, supple and shiny. This product costs Rs. 350/- for 100 ml and Rs. 599/- for 200 ml. The product has no scent, so it does not have parfum and since it does not lather, it has no sulphates. The ingredients are all natural with Hibiscus, Amla and Brahmi.
Cleansers
Subject : Review on Mineral Natural Face & Body Wash
Comment : This product can be used on its own or with a loofah, although using it with a loofah will dry your skin, especially if you skip moisturiser. On its own, the skin maintains a decent PH level, but the body wash does not nourish the skin. The product is supposed to be Paraben, SLS and SLES free but since soapnut is added to the formula, there is sufficient lather to it, even on a loofah. It has a very evident cologne like scent that is common with men's soap and it kind of reminds of Godrej Cooling Shower Gel, minus the cooling properties.
Sheet Masks
Subject : Hydrating Sheet Mask
Comment : I notice immediate brightness to the skin and with sheet masks, I notice an improvement over the course of 24 hours after application to the face. I have even noticed an even tone to the skin along with a healthy sheen. I got the pomegranate sheet which does not have a pomegranate scent but it does have this chemical smell to it initially which passes after application. The formula also has this silicone like feeling to it after the formula dries onto the skin, it felt a little too greasy on my skin so I had to rinse it off. Pomegranate is also a firming mask but I do not have loose skin on my face to firm, but my pores looked slightly less prominent.
Sunscreen
Subject : Not Whitening and Not enough SPF
Comment : This product claims to be a whitening sunscreen which it is not and I would not recommend this product to be used on the face at least for people with oily to combination skin as it is really greasy. It takes a while for this product to completely blend into the skin. It is an old-fashioned white creamy sunscreen with a pleasant scent but it has borderline sufficient amount of SPF for the Indian Sun with an SPF of 30. I will not recommend this product for hot summer days on the account of how greasy this product is and the fact that it does not have enough SPF to withstand the summer sun in India at least. All said and done, Oriflame is a Swedish brand which caters to people of a certain race which may not completely extend to Indian skin and Indian Weather. The content is only 50ml which is minuscule for everyday use. This product is better suited for Winter Sun as it is a very creamy product for an extra layer of moisturising and you will end up using this product only on the exposed areas that are not covered with layers of warm clothes and woollens.
Toners
Subject : Great for mixing in Powder Face Packs
Comment : I solely buy this Gulabari for mixing in powder face packs to form a paste that can be applied to the skin. Nowadays you get pre-packed paste face packs, but sometime I may want to do some DIY packs wherein this Gulab Jal turns out to be very useful. It tones and hydrates the skin when it is applied to the face so that the mask may not overtly dry out the skin causing dryness and irritation. I even dab this product on my skin with cotton if I need a mild toner to soothe sensitive or irritated skin. The product has an evident scent to it which means that there is added parfum to the product along with some other chemicals.
Hair Oil
Subject : Good oil for healthy hair and scalp
Comment : This oil has a very earthy herb like scent that is very distinct. What I find convenient about this oil is that you can leave it in your hair anywhere between 30 mins to overnight and accordingly it will show results in your hair. As far as the scent is concerned, it is not an added scent therefore once the hair is washed the scent does not linger. I have noticed an instant shine on the hair and my hair looks slightly less frizzy. It is not a hair softener so it does not make the hair look or feel silky, rather the hair looks healthy like the hair cuticles look plump and strong.
Cleansers
Subject : Verbana Body Wash
Comment : It is an all natural based body wash with one of the product being aloe vera, which is probably which is why this product seems so adhesive and pulpy. It has a very camphor-like scent and it is very drying. I use some almond oil 30 minutes before I have a bath in order to nourish the skin, but this product manages to dry out the skin despite pre-bath oiling. You need to use a deep nourishing cream or moisturiser after using this body wash.
Moisturizer
Subject : Oldie but a goodie
Comment : This cream was my saviour before the consumer market was blown apart with cocoa creams and body butter. It would keep my skin hydrated in the driest of weathers and the harshest of winters. It is a greasy product with a strange scent. It does not make your skin supple but it prevents your skin from drying out. You do need to reapply it after mid-day or at night and it does not do anything special as healing or whitening, but it is a reliable lotion to depend on during dry winter seasons. The lotion is of a thick consistency with a pink hue to it.
Moisturizer
Subject : Go to moisturizer for the Summers
Comment : I have hounded my local Himalaya store for this moisturiser if they have failed to stock it up during the summer months. It is a cooling moisturizer that keeps your body cool by a few degrees. Fair warning, do not wear this moisturiser and seat yourself in an A.C. room as you will feel a chill. It is a hydrating moisturizer with a refreshing scent. It makes your skin supple but it takes a while to completely be absorbed into the skin. If you stay in a humid place that after a while you do begin to slightly perspire especially if you are outdoors.
Body Butter
Subject : Review on Happy Skin Normal to Dry Body Lotion
Comment : I would have given an extra star to this product if it did not mention up to 24 hours moisturizing. It is a decent moisturizer per se but given the price point of Rs. 651/- it seems like a letdown, although you do get 400 ml of product. While it lasts on the skin, it does make the skin supple and soft, but after 8-10 hours of application, I noticed itching due to dryness which further led to rashes. I would not recommend this cream during peak winter months.
Serums
Subject : Illuminating and Brightening Light Weight Serum
Comment : It is a lightweight serum that can be worn on its own or under another cream if extra hydration and nourishment to the skin is required. It contains AHA and BHA properties which help fight uneven skin tone and pigmentation. I have oily skin, ergo I find this product has just the right amount of hydration for my skin without making it oily or greasy.
Cleansers
Subject : Slightly drying but thoroughly cleansing
Comment : I have combination skin so I always need a face wash that cleanses the oil and grime but does not dry my skin. This face wash is pretty darn good at cleansing oil and makeup but I find it a little drying, as in my skin feels a little stretched. Since it is a aloe based product, I do expect it to hydrate my skin a little during dry weather and bring a healthy sheen to my skin, which this product fails to do. It's a little harsh for a aloe based face wash. It claims to be a cool and softening product for dry skin, which it is not. It is a good cleanser per se but it just not do what it says it does.
Moisturizer
Subject : Skin saver
Comment : This product has never failed me in decades. This is the only moisturiser I would trust to apply to my skin knowing fully that it would not make me greasy or make me break out. I have used this product for soothing rash or an angry breakout or even irritated skin. It has a sheer coverage which mostly makes the face look matte, as an adolescent I would use this lotion as a foundation. Now if I run out of primer I use it as a base. This product is always there on my dressing table or in my vanity case when I am travelling.
Lip Care
Subject : Balmy but a little Oily
Comment : I got this lip balm as a part of the trial squad by Glamrada, for which I am ever thankful. I got the balm in Dark Chocolate which comes in the standard flat and round lip balm jar. In one jar you get 9gms of product which retails for Rs. 199/-. On opening the jar you get a very evident scent from the product which is a cross between a coconut and cocoa butter. The balm is a little oily in texture but it does not have the buttery feel that you expect from a balm. On application to the lips, the product does feel nourishing on initial application but the effect does not last long. Moreover, it does not smoothen the lines on the lips, it does not make the lips more soft and supple and it does not hydrate the lips. After a few hours, I noticed dryness scales at the edges of the lips. I personally did not enjoy the effects of this balm as the balms I usually prefer improve the texture on my lips, they add a healthy pink sheen to my mouth and most importantly they hydrate my lips and prevent dryness. I do appreciate the ingredients in the product are completely natural and have no petroleum jelly, but I said before, my lips need something extra which this product did not provide. I may slip this product into my bag or use it to add a glossy effect to a lip colour or tint, but beyond that, I do not expect this product to be my go to.
Body Butter
Subject : Non-Greasy Body Butter
Comment : I got this product as a part of the trial squad for reviewing Wild Earth products and I would like to thank Glamrada for selecting me for this trial. You get 50gms of product for Rs. 550/- only. That being said a little of this product goes a long way. I absolutely love this product as it is a non-greasy body butter that comes in a very convenient jar. I am definitely going to use this product while I am travelling as the jar is not big and bulky and the body butter does such a wonderful job of making the skin soft and supple. The body butter is a pink coloured whipped cream-like consistency that is quick absorbing. There is a berry scent to it that does linger onto the skin. The body butter has a lot of natural ingredients that are good for the skin such as cocoa butter, shea butter, almond oil, wheatgerm oil, avocado oil, olive oil and aloe vera. It also contains grapeseed, cherry and peach, from where the berry-like scent comes. The effects of this body butter lasted for 24 hours and then some. Wild Earth is an eco-friendly company that believes in using natural products and handcrafting techniques. I would like to take this opportunity to Congratulate Wild Earth on creating such a wonderful product.
Cleansers
Subject : Makes me breakout even more
Comment : I have tried and tested this product for years wondering why my breakouts would not stop and why my face would become oily so fast. You get 150ml of face wash for Rs. 150/- which comes in a transparent travel friendly bottle with a flipcap. This face wash is easily available everywhere. The face wash is a transparent liquid that has no scent. It does not do a through job of cleaning and I have always needed to further clean my face with a cleansing milk. It is supposed to oil cleansing face wash, but it does not keep oiliness at bay. I have always found this product to be an average one.
Hair Oil
Subject : Plumps up Hair Cuticles
Comment : This is an easily available hair oil that I got hooked on to as an adolescent as a friend swore by this oil night and day. I don't ever remember suffering through a hair ailment like dandruff, hair fall or split ends when I was using this oil for my hair. This is a greasy oil with an unpleasant scent to it so I have always used this oil for my hair only. I have never left this oil overnight mostly due to the scent and have always used it few hours before washing my hair. I have always noticed that my hair cuticles felt plump and strong after washing the oil from my hair, not to mention the shine and gloss my hair had. My hair does grow longer and thicker when I am using this oil on my scalp at least twice a week. It comes in a heavy glass bottle with a brown cap. The dispenser of this bottle is quite similar to cologne bottles where you have to shake the content out.
Body Butter
Subject : Hand & Body Cream
Comment : This cream takes me down the memory lane to my grandmother's vanity and the scent of her hand, body and face cream. The scent of this cream has that kind of vintage vibe to it. It is a very nourishing cream that absorbs quickly into the skin and little goes a long way with this product. The product comes in this transparent plastic jar with a white lid. You get 250ml of product for Rs. 483/-.
Bath Salt
Subject : Jasmine bath salt
Comment : I bought these salts to serve as a body exfoliant but the salt granules turned out to be too big. I should have probably read the instructions before purchasing the salt because it says that it can either be added to the bath water or it can be used along with a hot wet towel. I segregate the granules into big and small. I add the bigger granules to the hot water and used the smaller particles for scrubbing. The result, either way, is amazing. My skin feels soft, hydrated and the jasmine oil just lifts my spirits. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to try aromatherapy with hydrotherapy.
Masque
Subject : Decent Masks that Stings the Eye
Comment : The mask comes in a powdered form that needs to made into a paste before applying to the cleansed skin. The mask retails for Rs. 1750/- for 50gms of product. The instructions with the mask are very specific about using lukewarm water to activate the ingredients. It's an anti-acne and anti-oxidant mask that needs to be left on the skin for 3-5mins before rinsing it off. It is packaged in a cute wooden box and the mask is contained in a glass bottle. You need a teaspoon of the product for a single application. The only downside is that the mask really stung my eye while it was on my face. There is no odour the mask and it is 100% natural, so people with sensitive skin should practice precaution. The skin seems more even toned after rinsing the mask and the skin texture does seem lessened in appearance.
Body Butter
Subject : Would not recommend it for dry skin
Comment : I too discovered this product through Smytten but I am not impressed by it. I felt that I had to reapply this cream during the course of the day and it barely lasted on for 12 hours. This product is 80% Organic and it is formulated to battle pigmentation issues. I do not have pigmentation issues so I have been using this cream for regular daily use. The texture of the cream has a very whipped formula to it and there is added scent which is quite nice. You get 200gms of product for Rs. 700/- which I feel is not worth it as there as many creams and lotions in the market that do an amazing job of hydrating the skin for a period of 24 hours or more. I do not even have dry skin but my skin dries a little during winter seasons, maybe this cream will do justice during the summer and monsoon months.
Moisturizer
Subject : Nourishing and Protecting
Comment : This is a good moisturiser for Oily or Acne Prone Skin as it nourishes the skin without making it greasy and it has an added benefit of protecting the skin. People who do have skin sensitivity will feel very little tingle to the skin. It is a quick absorption formula which can be used under makeup. The skin feels very matte but there is a healthy sheen to the skin after application. It is recommended that the eye area may be avoided when applying the product. If you do have combination skin and there are much drier areas to the face then this product will not help in those areas and you will need to go over those areas with another product.
Cleansers
Subject : Face Wash for Acne Protection in Combination Skin
Comment : I purchased the face wash from the Oriflame website itself as I am an Oriflame Consultant. It comes in an acrylic tube that has a screw on cap. You get 50ml face wash for Rs. 215/- which makes it travel and pocket-friendly. There is a scent to the face wash, but it is not pungent. It does a thorough job of cleaning the face of oil, makeup and grime. The skin does feel a little mattified about using the product but it is not an uncomfortable feeling. The face wash is formulated to protect the skin from acne. The package says that is specifically meant for combination skin. It is a gel based face wash.
Leave-In Treatment
Subject : Cream for the hair
Comment : I would not call this a product a substitute for oil, rather I would call it an after hair wash treatment. The product is meant for the hair strands that are shoulder length or longer. By no means does this product promote scalp nourishment. It is a good product for the hair, hair feels smoother and the hair cuticles per se seem plumper. It is not a styling product, but if you were to use a heating appliance to the hair for the purpose of styling then you could definitely use this product to protect the hair from damage from the heat. I love the scent of this product, although the fair warning would be that parfum is not a good ingredient to apply to the hair. It is a quick absorbing and non-greasy product. 80ml of product retails for Rs. 85 and 180ml of product retails for Rs. 150. I got a free sample of the product from nykaa.com
Masque
Subject : Pore reducing masque
Comment : This masque retails for Rs. 1100/- for 100ml of product. It is supposed to take care of 6 pore problems such as tightening pores, removing sebum, exfoliating dead skin, deep cleaning, enhancing skin tone and providing a cooling effect. Instruction for application is to cleanse and tone the skin before applying the masque. This is taupe coloured paste mask that is really thick in consistency, so you need to take your time smoothening this masque all over the face and then to leave it on for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes you are to rinse the masque with lukewarm water. I followed the above instruction to the T. The masque is slightly cooling when it begins dry on the face. After rinsing I did use a toner as I was concerned about my pores reopening as I did use lukewarm water. I had noticed an immediate reduction in the appearance of my pores and texture. You even get an even toned and refreshed skin.
Toners
Subject : Neither a Gulab Jal nor an astringent
Comment : This toner is alcohol-free mild toner but it does contain parabens along with other chemicals. I personally do not like toners that leave a tacky texture on the skin. This toner is a cross between rose water and a regular toner/facial spray. It has a strong artificial fragrance of rose which reminds me of the traditional ittar. I am not overly fond of that scent, plus I am not a fan of parfum being added to skin care products. It does not have any properties that I would personally like to have in a toner, for eg. it does not reduce pores, does not control oil, does not fight acne, etc. It is not a bad product but it is not one that I would go around recommending to people.
Sheet Masks
Subject : Hydrating Masks
Comment : I have used sheet masks in the past out of curiosity or to prep my skin for an evening out. I have found that all masks round about perform the same. They do a wonderful job of hydrating the skin and bringing a healthy glow to the skin. I got the Real Nature Cucumber Sheet Mask from the Face Shop as I was suffering from skin sensitivity due to over-exfoliation. This is a cooling mask which is a little awkward to apply smoothly all over the face as the shape is not universal. There is no evident scent to the masque but the ingredients for the masque do include parfum. It is a cooling mask that soothed my skin and did not further irritate it. You get once mask in the packet for Rs. 100/- on nykaa.com. You can get multiple masks for a discount on the site. The instructions are to wash/cleanse and tone the face before using the mask. The mask is overly saturated in the solution so practice precaution when opening the packet and applying it to the face. I left the mask on for 20 minutes and like every other face mask the product does not absorb completely into the skin and dry down. The skin absorbs how much it requires and lets the rest be. The instructions on the packet are to let the remaining serum/solution remain on the face and be absorbed by the skin. The problem with the formulation is that it is too greasy as the ingredient include some form of glycerin and even hydrogen peroxide. Eventually, I had to wash the excess product off. My skin felt so soft and supple after patting my face dry. I would highly recommend this product for prepping the skin before a function. Considering how healthy my skin looked after application I would say that it is a good product for fighting any skin concern.
Facial kits
Subject : Facial Kit
Comment : Tea Tree oil is a most commonly used ingredient to fight acne so Oriflame does these kits that use only Tea Tree Product. The kit is missing a toner which is the only negative point, otherwise, it comes with a face wash, face scrub, face mask and a face cream, all of which contains tea tree oil. The products are not too harsh on the skin and it drastically improves your skin texture. The Face Wash and Face Cream you will find separately on the Oriflame website but the scrub and face mask is specially manufactured for the kit only.
Moisturizer
Subject : Gradual Improvement in skin rather than an overnight miracle
Comment : First time that I tried this cream, I was not impressed and even slightly confused considering how much I love other Kama Ayurveda Products. After gradual use I began to notice a sheen to my skin, so much so that the first thing I do after waking up in the morning is to take a good look at my skin. The cream seems slightly stiff on application, as in it is not foamy and does not blend like a dream. It does take some massaging as it is a very nourishing cream, but it is not greasy. I have combination skin and I have never notices greasiness with this cream The ingredients in the product are all natural which includes coconut milk and safron. The cream has this delicate scent of safron which I really like. The product retails for Rs. 1950/- for 50gms of product.
Body Wash
Subject : Energising Mint and Raspberry
Comment : I have used this shower gel for years and I absolutely love the raspberry and mint scent it has. It is an exfoliating shower gel, so you can use it on its own or you can use it with a loofah. A little goes a long way with this shower gel. The shower gel retails for Rs. 419/- for 250ml of product.
Moisturizer
Subject : Hydrating Formula
Comment : These creams comes in three variations 1. Tea Tree for Oily Skin 2. Aloe Vera for Combination Skin 3. Oat for Dry Skin I have the tea tree oil cream which is quick absorbing and hydrating. It has a refreshing tea tree oil scent to it that refreshes the skin. It prevent greasiness and you can even mix it with some makeup to form a whipped and easily blend-able formula. Tea Tree is a potent ingredient for fighting acne, so if you have sensitive skin then I would recommend practicing caution with the cream. It is only a hydrating formula that contains tea tree oil, but beyond that it does not do much. It retails for Rs. 375/- for 50ml
Masque
Subject : Nourishing Cream mask
Comment : I am willing to go on record and state that this cream is as nourishing as any facial oil I have ever tried, minus the greasiness. I have combination skin and I have never noticed any signs of blocked pores or oiliness. It is a nourishing cream that comforts even sensitive skin. I do have aged skin to guarantee its anti-aging properties, but as a face cream, be it day or night, I would highly recommend this cream. This cream retails for Rs. 8950/- for 65ml of product.
Under Eye
Subject : Eye cream
Comment : I do not have fine lines around my eyes to be a good judge of how efficient this cream is, but I love how much it brightens my under eye. I use it in my night time regimen and for day time. I find this formula to be very hydrating. It makes layering any correcting and concealing under the eye very easy and I have even notices lesser creasing. It is a light formula that is quickly absorbed into the skin. You need the tiniest droplet of product to dab under the eyes. The product retails for Rs. 4690/- for 15ml of product.
Sheet Masks
Subject : Milk Moisturising Mask
Comment : Along with the above mentioned mask, Avon also keeps a moisturising mask which was a life saver when I was travelling. I had developed dry flaky skin during the wedding festivities. I was expecting this which is why I was carrying the Moisturising Mask. It is enriched with milk properties but has a pleasant scent. I left the mask on for 10 minutes and the results were a life saver. I had a glowy healthy skin with absolutely no sign of flakiness. I prefer this mask to the Innisfree and Face shop as it does not come oversaturated in serum that takes forever to be absorbed into the skin. It comes with the right amount of serum that absorbs right in and produces instant results. The shape of the sheet mask fits my face better than the Korean ones.
Masque
Subject : Barely does anything
Comment : I am not impressed by this product, it is the least effective peel off I have ever tried. I prefer the peel offs by Himalaya Ayurveda. This peel off is marketed as a prep mask that is meant to make your skin look better especially before any event. The peel off barely does anything, it does not even my skin tone, it does not hydrate the skin, it does not brighten the skin and it does not reduce the appearance of texture or pores. This is an easily available product that can be obtained at any departmental store or online. It retails for Rs. 75/- for 50ml.
Hair Oil
Subject : Just Cannot Get Rid of the Smell
Comment : Keo Karpin Hair Oil is a known hair oil brand in India and it is promoted to have the benefits of Olive Oil which helps smoothen and Soften the Hair. It is an easily available oil that you can pick from your smallest kirana store to Amazon.in. I leave it in my hair for a few hours before washing it off. It is not a very greasy oil and spreads through the scalp and roots easily without staining your clothes. The only issue with the oil is the smell which does not leave the hair post washing. I did notice that my hair was more relaxed and less frizzy but my concern is that oil does not promote strength and growth. I usually mix the oil with some castor oil for better effects but the odour of the oil even surpasses the nutty scent of the castor oil. I use it everytime before washing my hair. Once I am done with this bottle, I will not bother picking it up again because of the odour.
Shampoo
Subject : Fresh Hair but oily scalp
Comment : This does make the hair fresh smelling for days but it turned my scalp flaky. When the shampoo initially comes into contact with the scalp it cools it down but that is only temporary, moreover I have a suspicion that the cooling effect of the shampoo later turned my scalp flaky and greasy. Getting the smaller bottles is not easy, I had to get the bottle from Nykaa. The bottle retails for Rs. 66/- but I got a discount. I am not a big fan of the Loreal Paris collection as I feel they have way too many chemicals that do not benefit the hair.
Conditioner
Subject : Frizzy tangled hair
Comment : For the past 8 years I have preferring hair masques over conditioners. I have thick hair that get frizzy and tangled and hair masque helps me tame them a little better plus I don't use heating tools. With this conditioner I felt I had to go in a little heavy handed with my serum because this conditioner did nothing for my hair except make it smell nice. Luckily for me, I decided to get the smallest bottle of this conditioner for me try it out. Getting this conditioner in retail is not easy especially if you are particular about the size. I ended up purchasing this conditioner from Nykaa. It retails for Rs. 85/- for 65ml. It make your hair feel so soft when you are washing off the conditioner but once your hair dries it is a different story all together. It is obviously chemical based but it does not have parabens but it does evidently contain parfum which is not good for the hair.
Moisturizer
Subject : Keeps oil at bay but not the sweat
Comment : Coming from a humid city, my usual skin problem is sweating which in turn leads to opening of my pores which further causes oiliness. If I were to apply a moisturizer, I usually have to end up washing my face due to the oiliness caused by my open pores. With this moisturizer I have noticed that despite me sweating on my face, it does not lead to inevitable oiliness. Also I have combination skin so the drier areas of my face do not feel stretched and parched with this moisturizer so I would recommend this moisturizer to people with normal/dry skin during hot weather as well. I was sent a trial pack version from Smytten which is why I am not entirely sure what the retail price and weight is of the product. This moisturizer is not available in retail as far I can tell, but it is available online on Nykaa and Smytten.
Masque
Subject : Overnight Mask
Comment : This is the most unusual mask I have ever come across. It comes in a clear gel formula in two varieties, one is a pack that is meant to be left on the face for 10-15 mins and another which is an overnight mask. I got a trial pack from Smytten for an overnight mask. The instructions of the mask is that it is meant to be applied evenly onto the face for the entirety of the night and in the morning when you wash your face you will find your skin rejuvenated and oxygenated. I followed the instruction and used my finger tips to apply as I felt the brush would waste the product and since it is a clear gel I would not be able to tell if the application is even or not. Come next morning, I did notice an even toned skin with a healthy glow. I thought the product was decent but it is nothing like the Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating Night Cream which is a miracle worker.
Cleansers
Subject : Good face wash for normal skin
Comment : I know the face wash is marketed as a Fairness product but I like using it when my skin is feeling a bit drier. I have combination skin so this product does a good job of removing excess oil and yet does not dry out the drier parts of my face. I bought this face wash at a departmental store. It comes in a squeezy tube with a flip cap. I usually like to buy a smaller quantity for travel as it is travel friendly. The consistency of the face wash is gel like and it does do a good job of making my skin look more even.
Exfoliator
Subject : Micro Granules
Comment : I was sent a free trial from Smytten of this product as a part of Gold Member promo. I had to check on the Smytten app what its retail price and weight was. You get 100gms for Rs. 795/- only. I got the trial package in a squeezy tube but it originally comes in a flat jar. It is very fine granules which makes it very gentle on the skin. My skin is still recovering from over-exfoliation and sensitivity, I was seeing very fine texture on my nose which I wanted to get rid of. This product did not hurt my skin and it did get rid of the texture. The base of the product is very cream like but it not make my skin feel greasy and the granules did not open up my pores. On an overall I would highly recommend this product. I have been using it sparingly due to my skins condition, but I really enjoyed the gentility with which this product scrubs the skin. There is a very neutral scent to it which did not bother me.
Soap
Subject : Soap
Comment : I am not the one to apply soap to my face and I would not recommend that to anyone especially with this soap as the particles in it are so chunky that it would harm the skin. I found it a little to harsh to apply it on my body. So I gently went over my body with this soap and then used a loofah to lather and scrub the skin. The results were amazing, my skin felt so fresh and clean.
Moisturizer
Subject : More Liquid like than thick cream
Comment : I was sent a free trial by Smytten App of the product, I have Combination skin so I decided to see if it nourished the drier areas of my face without making the rest of face oily. It has a very runny texture which surprised me since it is a nourishing moisturiser and I expected it to be more cream like. I was not even sure if the lotion is meant for the face or the body but the instructions say that the product works best after 'toning and oiling the skin'. I am presuming that it is all rounder lotion.
Moisturizer
Subject : It does nothing
Comment : I was sent a free trial of this cream from Smytten App, and I have never been so underwhelmed by a skin lightening cream. It is cream that completely dissolves into the skin without so much as a sheen. It does absolutely nothing, it does not lighten the skin tone, it does not reduce the appear of pigmentation. It doesn't even make the skin look more even toned. The only good thing this cream does is that it hydrates the skin well. Beyond that it is disappointing to have any expectations from this cream. I was sent a small tube for trial so I am not entirely sure what the content of the jar is and how much it is worth.
Moisturizer
Subject : Rich but non-greasy
Comment : The first thing that strikes to me about the cream is the jasmine scent. A little product goes a long way. I am having some dryness and sensitivity around my mouth and this cream helped soothe it. I got a free trial pack of this product from Smytten app so I am not sure what the net weight of the product and how much it retails for. This cream feels very rich on touch but it is not greasy like some of the old fashioned face creams. I feel there is a multipurpose to this cream, you can use it as a day cream, I prefer using it under my makeup to ensure my skin is well hydrated and I also use this cream as a night cream so I wake up with healthy glowing hydrated skin.
Sunscreen
Subject : Light formula
Comment : I like this sunscreen because it is lightest sunscreen I have ever applied to my skin, you barely feel like your wearing sunscreen. For almost 10 years I have been wearing matte sunscreens or CC/BB creams on my face as regular sunscreen would break me out. This sunscreen is a revelation but someone with my skin type. I love the fact that it is hydrating enough to use as a face lotion. Offlate I have been having some sensitivity around my mouth and this sunscreen did not irritate or inflame the skin. I got a free trial from Smytten app and the brand Organic Harvest will be going live on the app soon!
Toners
Subject : Meh Product
Comment : This is the most underwhelming toner I have ever used. I ordered the toner from Nykaa.com and I got a great discount over it. I pour the formula over a cotton bud and dab my skin with it. The weird part is that despite the cotton bud being saturated in the product, barely any of the formula transfers upon the skin. My pores look the same and oiliness has not reduced. The bottle comes in the standard Biotique translucent plastic sqeezy bottle. Maybe the formula is mean to be sprayed upon the skin directly for better results but it does not come in a pump. What irks me the most is the label says that the product is not a cosmetic rather it is a ayurvedic medicine, but that does not change the fact that it is still an under-performing product.
Masque
Subject : Okay Mask.
Comment : I found this mask to be underwhelming, I feel I have seen better results from clay and mud masks. This is my first charcoal mask and I am not impressed by the results. I was sent a free trial pack by Smytten App so needless to say it is available on the App. I had visible texture on my skin that I did not have previously. After a few hours of application my skin even felt a little oily and my pores looked clogged. I did not want to exfoliate my skin since the mask is already an exfoliant, I went in with a cleansing milk. My pores were clogged by the soot in the mask. The pros of the Mask is that it is easily applicable with a brush and has various other healthy ingredients apart from Charcoal such as Rose Water, China Clay, Glycerin, Aloe Vera, Bentanite Powder, Clove Oil and Vitamin E. The ingredients do not mention Parfum, but there is an evident strong Musk like scent to it. Parfum is an absolute no-no when it comes to skin and hair care. I rather stick to my Himalaya Ayurveda Masks, they are tried and tested.
Hair Oil
Subject : Stinky Useless Oil
Comment : It is a very average oil that does not do much and has a horrible stench. It is an easy to get oil and I picked it up from a departmental store. It makes grand promises of reducing hair fall, dandruff, greying and claims to even cure headaches, but I solely bought it to make my hair more smooth since I so get frizz and I do not like using heating products to smooth out the frizz. I found the oil to be underwhelming, especially considering the scent. In my experience some of smelliest oils are the best kind of nourishment you could ask for your hair, unfortunately the same does not hold true for this product. I mix this oil to dilute castor oil before applying to my hair. Apart from that I see no other use of this oil.
Hand & Foot Cream
Subject : Smells like Soap and it gave me hives
Comment : I was sent a trial pack from Smytten which was a mercy really since I did not like this product. My feet started to itch everytime I applied the product. There is nothing Minty about the foot cream and it had a very evident smell of soap. It even seemed a little greasy, so I would recommend this cream right before you sleep since there is a risk of slipping and falling. I could bear a product that does absolutely nothing, but my feet began to feel rougher after application, something I fail to understand. I had to throw the trial pack for the basic reason that the cream was making me sick and I am not one to throw away products before I hit jar.
Shampoo
Subject : Cleaning but not Hydrating
Comment : I was hearing some good reviews about the shampoo so I went ahead and bought a huge bottle of 800ml which will last me months. I have been using some high end shampoos for a while and I decided to try something more budget friendly for a change. This is a good shampoo for cleansing the scalp and little goes a long way with it but my hair feels drier than before and definitely frizzier. It is an easily available shampoo but it comes with way too many chemicals. I oil, masque and serum my hair but that just about about brings the frizz under control, I am quiet concerned about the long term repercussions for using this shampoo. It does a good job of washing out the oils out of the hair but I am concerned that it is doing too good a job of cleansing my hair.
Hair Mask / Hair Spa
Subject : Takes good care of your hair
Comment : I purchased this product from the Smytten App, it retails for Rs. 1075/- for 150ml, which is pretty up their in price but this is a good reliable product. I love Wella Professional products and I trust them where my hair is concerned. I would like to start with a fair warning, the product has this pleasant floral talcum like scent which indicates that there is parfum in the hair masque, so if you are sensitive then please be wary. This product has made sure that my hair is not damaged by extreme, heat, humidity and sun which is always a good thing considering the Indian Weather. The instructions say that the masque is to be left on for 5 mins exactly, so I did not bother leaving it on any longer as I do with other masks. I will not say that it completely controlled my fizz but it bring it under some nuance of control. I am very sceptical where hair products are concerned, but this one is a real winner.
Toners
Subject : Best Mister on a facial spray
Comment : I got a sample from the Smytten App and I am quiet impressed with the packaging and the spray nozzle on it. It does not deposit the product in one place, rather it mists the face uniformly. There is no scent to the product which means it is devoid of any parfum. I have always had a good experience of Kama Ayurveda Products and I have always used them or gifted them to other people to try. Due to the fine mister on the product I like to use it as a last step to my makeup routine. I spritzed it on after I am done with my makeup and I go over lightly with a sponge to pick up any excess makeup so that my face does not look too powdery.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE REVIEWS

Sweets, Candy & Gum
Subject : Worst Chocolate Ever
Comment : This is the worst dark chocolate I have eaten. The chocolate used to produce these bars of chocolate is really cheap. The chocolate tasted absolutely artificial and even the scent of the chocolate has this chemical chocolate like scent, which was not appetizing. The packaging is all fancy and I am very fond of Amul Products but they should really reconsider their patisserie line.
Condiments, Sauces & Marinades
Subject : More of a dipping sauce than culinary sauce
Comment : This sauce is a good dipping sauce especially when you are hosting guests and are serving them some crispy finger food. I would not recommend this sauce for cooking purpose as it I do not relish its taste when it is used for cooking. It gets more sweet than hot and then more condiments are required to balance the flavour out.
Condiments, Sauces & Marinades
Subject : Really Sweet Jam
Comment : This jam is great for spreading on toast or even on rotis. You can even use for making cold puddings. I have never tried baking with this jam as there is a lot of sugar and preservatives that are used in its preparation. It's a very sweet jam so I am not a regular consumer as I don't have a sweet tooth, but as a child, I remember really relishing the taste of this Jam.
Condiments, Sauces & Marinades
Subject : Constant Culinary Favourtie
Comment : I have grown up with this sauce as it is a favourite in the family. You have to practice caution with the sauce as every drop of this sauce is packed with flavour and heat. It is also such a boon when you are cooking and your dish is just lacking the excitement it requires, few drops of the sauce and it takes your dish to another level. It has an underlying sourness to it as well which helps balance out the heat it emits. I love pouring few drops of this sauce on fresh Italian loaf bread and just eating it, it is a wonderful snack.
Coffee and Teas
Subject : Green tea with an evident Tulsi Taste
Comment : I am quite fond of this tea as it has the goodness of green tea and tulsi. Tulsi tea is well known for boosting the immunity whereas the Green tea is an antioxidant. I can have this tea without any honey and sugar as the taste is quite mellow and does not have a bitter undertaste. I have known people to complain less about flatulence when they are regularly drinking the tea. Moreover, it is a great tea to energise and refresh you, come morning or evening. One tea bag can be used for either a large coffee mug or for two regular sized tea cups.
Snacks, Cookies & Chips
Subject : Melts right in the mouth
Comment : I enjoy biscuits with my morning tea/coffee and this the perfect biscuit as it is delicious and melts right in the mouth. I do not like biscuits that are too sweet and dense, these biscuits are neither too sweet nor dense. You get 100gms for Rs.20/-. These biscuits can also be used for Culinary Purposes like making the base for a Cheesecake. I would not recommend these biscuits for being a part of any diet since the entire packet of 100gms biscuits carries 489 calories which include 67.10 gms of carbs and 21.20 gms of fat. The package says goodness of Whole Wheat but only 15.3% of the ingredient is wholewheat and a whopping 43.3% is wheat flour. The rest of the ingredients include sugar syrup and palm oil.
Breakfast & Cereals
Subject : Italian Twist and other flavours
Comment : Instant noodles have been a part of my staple diet since childhood, oats are just something I read about in books. In fact, I always thought of it as horse food. When oats hit the Indian Consumer Market, I much preferred it to other cereal. I have even replaced my digestives with oat cookies. I seem to have grown tired of eating instant noodles which is why I tried the Saffola masala oats. I tried the Italian flavoured one and I seem to quite like it. The instruction on the packet is to heat 240 ml of water and to empty the content of the 40gms packet into the water and cook it on the medium flame for 3 mins. You can even microwave these oats. You would know it is cooked when it forms thick porridge-like consistency. A single satchet comes for Rs. 15/-
Condiments, Sauces & Marinades
Subject : Delicious but pricey honey
Comment : I too ordered a sample of this honey from Smytten. Its a very delicious honey and quiet flavourful, unlike most honeys you find in the market it does not merely taste of sugar syrup, it has a delicious wholesome honey flavour. It has the beautiful honey opacity and sheen which ensures that the product has not included any additives or preservatives. It is great for adding to teas or using it for some culinary purpose. The honey retails for Rs. 385/- for 400 gms on Smytten which is quiet pricy that my favourite Dabur Honey. You do get Beelicious honey in other flavours as well on Smytten, but I have not gotten around to trying it myself.
Dairy
Subject : Thick whipped formula
Comment : This yogurt comes in flavoured yogurt as well as in regular curd form. It has a thick whipped formula to it. The flavoured yogurts are not too sweet and are a rich source of calcium, protein and vitamin c. I tried the vanilla bean flavour and it reminded me of a subtle flavoured shrikhand. This yogurt does retain for Rs. 40 for 90ml of yogurt. It is supposed to be an artisanal yogurt which means that due care been taken in every process of producing this yogurt. It is also supposed to be probiotic in form which means it is formulated to improve digestion and immunity. Strangely enough, it claims to be made of 100% cow's milk but is lactose free, I am very curious to know how did this brand manage to get milk that too from a cow and processing it in an artisanal manner to make it lactose free.
Coffee and Teas
Subject : Difficult to get hold of
Comment : I would like to start by saying that I didn't even know that Lipton did Iced-Tea Powders, I have always seen the pre-packed ones but never the powder. I love iced-tea, I love Nescafe Iced Tea and I sometimes even indulge in making Iced-Tea from Scratch. Obviously I prefer my own brew. I have been wanting to try the Lipton Iced Tea Mix for a while but it is difficult to find since it doesn't get manufactured in India and we only get the Imported Stuff. I finally found a small sachet for Rs. 30/- at a specialty shop. The small sachet makes iced-tea only for one glass, which means you are paying Rs. 30/- to drink iced-tea from the comfort of your home. I found the iced-tea decent enough, not too sweet, evident taste of lemon but sadly like any other iced-tea mix is sorely lacking in the taste of tea. I will continue using the Nescafe Iced Tea for the sole reason that it is convenient to buy.
Breakfast & Cereals
Subject : Buy it as a monthly household item
Comment : I am not a health-freak, I just like oats and apples for breakfast. It is filing and gives you the energy to go through a long tiring day. I usually end up making a big bowl of oats in the microwave for the family and add some fruits for flavor, my favourite being apple. I also skip sugar and add honey to the milk, somehow the combination of oats, apples and honey is perfect. I have tried oats from other brands as well and they give this stale smell which isn't palpable to me. Kellogg oats carry no such smell which is why I trust the quality of the oats.

HEALTH AND LIFESTYLE REVIEWS

Natural Oils
Subject : Dependable Oil
Comment : It is a good oil for oil massages and hair grooming. I do see a difference in my hair when I oil my hair pre-wash and just washing my hair regularly without oiling. It does make my hair stronger and manageable. It helps me prevent split ends and dry flaky scalp. It does not reduce hair fall, battle dandruff or prevent immature greying. You get 175ml for Rs. 56/- which is a budget-friendly buy especially for routine hair care. It comes in a navy blue acrylic bottle, the oil is colourless but there is a sweet nutty odour in the oil. I am not big on using coconut oil on my body as it is a fairly greasy oil and you need to be careful about how much you are applying it to your hair especially before stepping out.
Personal Care
Subject : Standard and Trusted Hand wash
Comment : Dettol is the most brand when it comes to hygiene and first aid. The handwash has the trademark Dettol scent but it is not a drying handwash. The handwash comes in an acrylic white bottle and a pump. The good thing about the packaging is that you do not have to throw away the bottle after the handwash is over, you can always purchase a refill packet and fill the content into the bottle and continue using the handwash.
Personal Care
Subject : Most Underappreciated product
Comment : I have always viewed Johnsons Buds as the most underappreciated product. Everyone thinks these buds are harmful to the ear, but it is not the bud that is harmful, rather it is the user who does not know how to properly use the product. I use buds more for fixing my eyeliner or other makeup or for applying medication to the skin than for just cleaning my ears.
Personal Care
Subject : Favorite Hand Sanitizer
Comment : I have always trusted this hand sanitizer for my hands as I know that most ingredients would be natural and it will not contain harsh chemicals. There is a strong scent of alcohol to the hand sanitizer. You can get a travel-friendly pack and a large bottle pack that you can keep on the table. It is a quick-absorbing formula that does not leave any residue behind.
Personal Care
Subject : Not the most comfortable
Comment : It is not the most comfortable pads, but it is built for longevity. It is a pad that lasts you all day especially on days that you can rarely afford a bathroom break. The pad is thin and soft but for some reason it is not as comfortable as it is marketed to be. A single packet contains 15 pads that retails for Rs. 160/-. The pads are easily available everywhere, be it retail, pharmacy or online. The pads are meant to be delicate on the skin and keep period odour at bay and I would attest to both. I personally prefer the Sofy Sanitary Pads as they feel more comfortable than these pads and it comes with antibacterial properties.
Oral Care
Subject : Only available in Pharmacies
Comment : This is not an ordinary mouthwash that you can pick in a departmental store, you will need to go to a pharmacy and ask a pharmacist for this particular mouthwash. This is a strong mouthwash that is recommended by dentists and holds no commercial market clientele. It is a blue coloured mouthwash that comes in a clear plastic bottle with a white bulky cap which doubles as a measuring cup. There are two measurements in the cup i.e. 10ml and 15ml. The instructions on the bottle recommends 10ml twice a day and the product is known for staining the teeth although that is a temporary side effect. This is an antiseptic and antiplaque mouthwash. It retails for Rs. 75/- for 160ml.
Personal Care
Subject : Has 3.5 pH.
Comment : This is the first intimate wash I have purchased retail in the Indian Market. I usually buy intimate washes from either Oriflame or Avon. Although this is the only intimate wash I know that comes with a pamphlet which tried to educate the consumer more about personal hygiene and give more knowledge of this product. You can try a small size bottle, the smallest being for 20ml that retails for Rs. 40/- which also makes it a travel friendly bottle. It comes in a small white bottle with a pink cap. I am a very sensitive person who is prone to allergies and hives and I had absolutely no issues using this product. There is a subtle pleasant talc like scent to this product so if you are sensitive to parfum then I would advice caution.
Personal Care
Subject : Thin, Comfortable and does irritate the skin
Comment : These pads have been designed to last for long hours especially if you have a long day ahead. It is a really large pad so you when you initially apply to the underwear it does feel like a really sleek adult diaper. If you have taken medication to help with the cramps and the bloating then you are good to go without being reminded that have your periods every quarter of an hour. I got the 14 pads pack to last me for the month and yet be prepared for the coming month. The 14 pads packet retails for Rs. 175/- and is easily available everywhere.
Natural Oils
Subject : All round product
Comment : I have always used olive oil exclusively for my hair or for cooking eggs. This product is purely for cosmetic purpose and it is even promoted as a primer to be used under makeup. This oil is not greasy like some hair and facial oils and neither is it viscose like castor oil, but it is really rich and conditioning. The second you apply it to your fingertips of hair roots, it begins to condition. Olive oil is best left overnight to work its magic. You can strengthen your nails but lightly coating it with the oil, you can apply it to scars to reduce their appearance. You only need a little of the product as it is very easy to blend. I got a trial package from smytten app so I am not sure how much the oil actually costs and what the quantity is.
Medicines & Treatments
Subject : One cream for multiple solutions
Comment : This cream has been a constant in this country through decades, you would either find it in the toiletry kit or in the first aid kit. It was used for cuts, eczema, acne, rash etc. There is a medicinal scent to the cream, but it would solve every skin problem if left overnight. I personally prefer using this cream for cuts and rashes rather than for cosmetic purpose as I have oily skin and this is a bit greasy cream. The scent is an issue as well. This is a very easily available cream and you get it in any general store, kirana shop or pharmacy.
