Winters are the time of the year when your skin needs lots and lots of moisture, as it gets dry and flaky! However, sometimes the best of your moisturizers do not work alone on granting you the smooth skin you desire and needs a partner that will help keep the flake away and grant you softer looking, hydrated skin.  While ready to use scrubs work amazingly, a DIY body scrub work a tad better due to the presence of fresh and natural ingredients, so here we are sharing with you body scrub recipes for the smoothest skin of your life.

 

Cinnamon Body Scrub:

We all know how cinnamon helps keep your skin clear and healthy, but it makes for a good body scrub ingredient too. For a good body scrub, you will need coarsely ground cinnamon teaming it up with ground coffee and coconut oil, to make a nice thick scrub like consistency. Always make sure you wear clothes you do not mind ruining, and enter your washroom to scrub away all the dead skin and reveal beautiful skin underneath!

 

Rice Flour Scrub:

I am obsessed with Rice Flour for the amazing benefits it offers, it is great for the skin and Asian women have used it for centuries to keep their skin brighter. It also acts as a sunscreen, reduces blemishes and has anti-aging properties. To make this scrub, you will need 1 table spoon of rice flour, 1 heaping tablespoon of yogurt and half teaspoon turmeric, mix it all up until it becomes a nice scrub, use twice a week for best results.

 

Almond & Honey Scrub:

Majority of the scrubs we find in the local market contains nuts as their key ingredients such as apricot, walnuts and almonds. How about making your own DIY concoction to reap the maximum benefits? You need about 4 to 5 finely powdered almonds, honey and Argan oil. Mix the ingredients together to form a nice paste; you could add a bit of water if you would like a runny consistency. This mask is great for dry skin, if you find that the scrub does not glide on nicely, go on with a spray or mist to help the texture ease out. Leave it on for 10 minutes and scrub away, follow up with applying argan oil on scrubbed areas for best results.

 

Coffee Scrub:

Coffee makes an excellent ingredient for scrubbing, as it aids in reducing cellulite and boosts your circulation as well. To make this scrub, you will need ground coffee and coconut oil or olive oil and sugar; which is completely optional. Make a scrub by mixing all the ingredients according to how much you need and the areas you need to scrub. Scrub in gentle circular motions, you could make this is bulk and store it. Use twice a week for best results.

 

Green Tea Scrub:

For this green tea mask, you will need a bowl of sugar, four bags of green tea and mix them both together, once they are both mixed add coconut oil which has excellent moisturizing properties. Massage it onto damp skin and scrub away to reveal a smoother even looking skin!
